THE OFFICE’s ‘Seasons of Love’ Tribute to Michael Scott
April 22, 2011 by Kath Skerry
Two of my favorite things came together last night – ‘Rent’ and THE OFFICE. (Ok, three of my favorite things if you include John Krasinski…and four if you count John Krasinski singing.)
If you missed the Dunder Mifflin ‘Seasons of Love’ dedication to Michael Scott, check it out here.
Am I the only one who is going to be a total wreck next week during Steve Carell’s last episodes?

That was probably my favorite The Office moment ever! It was so perfect! I loved when Michael said “oh my god, something is happening!” I think I’ve watched it a dozen times on Hulu since this morning.
Kath, no you will not be the only one crying next week, I think the whole 10 seconds of the preview for next week made me tear up more than hearing them sing. I will have a box of tissues, a glass (or two) and pint of Ben & Jerry’s to get me through next week 🙂
I was bawling watching this!!! Also two of my absolute faves!
I loved it! It was such a bittersweet moment, and part of me wondered whether the tears were Michael Scott or Steve Carell. Whichever it was, it was so touching. Another great Office moment.
This is definitely one of my favorite episodes. Great from top to bottom. Next week will be sad. I do think Michael will be back in Season 8 as a guest for a wedding with Holly [or maybe Season 9-I think the show is strong enough with all these great characters to last more than one more season.]
Loved the song! It was very surprising and sweet and you could tell that Steve Carell loved it. I don’t think that was Michael Scott in that scene. ♥
I also felt Steve Carell coming through in those scenes. I was so excited to hear there was finally a new Dundies episode, but that last scene stole the show. So good!
I loved this scene. I was glad they did one more Dundie’s ep, but this was easily my favorite scene of the show and was a nice follow to the DM staff’s reaction when Michael Scott announced he was leaving.
There’s a rumor floating around that Steve Carell was given a diferent script and wasn’t expecting the song. He was staying in character until he heard Cut which would’ve come from Mindy Kaling (Kelly) since she wrote and directed this episode.
This wasn’t just a good-bye from Andy, Jim, Pam, Ryan, etc. It was a good bye from Ed, John, Jenna, B.J
This was my favorite office moment ever <3 and when watching Michaels last episode I kept my composure pretty well throughout the majority of it, but fell apart when Pam showed up at the airport. And I love how he was telling them to plan the party around what they liked because he knew he would not be there for his own party. I cried like a baby at the end. And now I have this hollow feeling inside of me, anybody else?
