GLEE Recap: ‘Rumours’
May 4, 2011 by Samantha Simorangkir
“Rumours” was not a record that I grew up on, but I don’t live under a rock, so I am very familiar with “Dreams,” “Songbird,” “Go Your Own Way,” and “Don’t Stop.” I do applaud the decision to have a tribute episode that was all about the music, and not about theatrical, costume-y, image, filled with performance/music-video re-enactments (Madonna, Gaga, Britney). It’s hard to hate an episode filled with good music.
April and Will’s vocals on “Dreams” were like butter. Also, did anyone else notice how Will’s dimples are extra-pronounced during the many, many “ooh ooh ooh’s?” I thought they were going to sprout wings and fly away. I did find it a tad uncomfortable that they were being handsy and seductive with each other in front of the kids. It was fine at the bowling alley, and at the roller-rink on their own time, but at school, not so much.
THE VOICE: Kelsey Rey and Frenchie Davis Talk About Audience Misperception

There is a brand new episode of THE VOICE tonight!
Yes, the NBC show is already my guilty pleasure, so when Frenchie Davis (Team Christina), Jeff Jenkins (Team Adam), Kelsey Rey (Team Cee Lo) and Patrick Thomas (Team Blake) participated in a conference call with reporters today, I jumped on the chance to talk with the contestants. There was only so much they could say because they aren’t a part of tonight’s episode.
However, when I asked them if they were surprised to see how they were portrayed on the first episode of the show, there was a brief silence.
“I might as well say it,” Kelsey said. “Some people definitely portrayed me in the wrong way, because I have been getting some comments — some negative comments — saying I may be too cocky, or conceited and I’m pretty sure the three people who are with me on this call would say that if [the people commenting] knew me, they’d know that’s not the truth.”
Her fellow contestants immediately piped up to agree with Kelsey.

Hey, HOUSE fans, Erik is out of town this week, so our regular recap of the show — usually of the highest quality, of course — is suffering. But even in his absence, we want to talk about what went down on HOUSE this week.
Cuddy’s mother… what a piece of work!! Can you believe she threatened to sue the hospital? How do you guys feel about this character? Do you want to see Candice Bergen on the show again or have you had enough?
And how about House and Cuddy? Any thoughts on their current situation?
Did you enjoy seeing Chase and Foreman face off? And should we possibly get Chase into a sex addiction rehab facility?
Let’s discuss!
And please feel free to weigh in on the case of the week as well!

Sue Sylvester was MIA in last week’s episode of GLEE, but she returns in a big way in “Rumours.”
Apparently, Sue’s not content with the drama she’s been causing thus far for the glee club and is now stooping to writing blind items about them in the school newspaper. Fittingly, the kids are performing songs off of the Fleetwood Mac album, “Rumours” in tonight’s episode.
Dying to see what goes down? Check out some preview clips and the full-length version of “Go Your Own Way”!

Heartbroken and defeated, Jamie makes an emotional plea to the kids’ parents and gives the students a graphic reality check about what is really in the foods they’re eating every day. Meanwhile, in an attempt to soften the hard-line stance of Patra’s owner, Dino, against adding a few healthier options to his menu and renovating his kitchen, Jamie introduces him to Sophia, a 17-year-old West Adams student whose entire family has been plagued by Type II Diabetes. While Dino is sympathetic, it takes a desperate plea from a complete stranger to help him see beyond his bottom line.

Has BONES been renewed for a seventh season? Series star David Boreanaz (Booth) sure seems to think so. Boreanaz had fans buzzing earlier tonight after he tweeted, “Oh, Season 7 is GO for Bones.”
While Fox could not confirm the news tonight, BONES creator Hart Hanson told reporters last month that he was “very confident” the network and studio would come to a deal to renew the show for next season.
CHUCK: Yvonne Strahovski, Sarah Lancaster, Ryan McPartlin and Joshua Gomez Preview ‘Chuck vs. Agent X

CHUCK is back with a brand new episode tonight and poor Sarah is going to have her hands full — um, no pun intended — with a bachelorette shower.
“Ellie does plan the [bachelorette] party and I will say that the girls do it better than the guys,” Sarah Lancaster (Ellie) previewed. “Yvonne [Strahovski (Sarah)] was so mortified to have these strippers around her. It’s just not like either one of our bags. It’s not ideal at all and she was just mortified and I, like a good co-star, was just crying on the sidelines, like cracking up so hard…hilarious, hilarious, hilarious.”
So what did Strahovski have to say about the filming experience?
HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER: Josh Radnor Teases Potential Ted and Zoey Fallout

As fans of HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER know, the Ted and Zoey relationship is on borrowed time. Not only do we know Zoey is not the titular “Mother,” but we also know — thanks to Future Ted’s voice over — that her relationship with Ted doesn’t end so well.
When Give Me My Remote caught up with series star Josh Radnor (Ted) during the filming of the HIMYM season finale, he raised the point that we might not know as much as we think we do…
