The shocking event THE VOICE teased in their promos all week? A kiss.

However, the real juicy part was the who and the when of the kissing: fellow Team Cee Lo contestants Curtis Grimes and Emily Valentine got a little too into their battle round performance of Lady Antebellum’s “Need You Now” and shared a smooch on stage at the end of the song. Putting a slight damper on the romance for the duo was the fact that only one could make it through to the next round.

    That was a hard one for me. I really liked both contestants and they could not be more different. Emily has a very angsty voice, but the tone and depth of Curtis’ voice is beautiful to listen to you. I wish Cee-lo could have kept them both. They were such a beautiful blend together.
