What? The season finale of TOP CHEF: MASTERS is tonight? It seems like it just premiered a few weeks ago! Way to sneak that up on me, Bravo.

Nonetheless, in tonight’s final challenge, the chefs must prepare a 4-course meal based on inspiration and self-reflection. While Chef Floyd Cardoz is out getting ingredients, he gets stuck in traffic and only has three hours to prep when he gets back. Will that be enough time?

Given that Javier Colon’s first THE VOICE audition — where he performed his take on Cyndi Lauper’s “Time After Time” — was one of the most buzzed about moments of the series so far (and he came out ahead when he went up against a fellow Team Adam member in the battle round), what would he bring to live quarter-finals round to get fans excited?

Tuesday night, Javier tackled the Sarah McLachlan tearjerker, “Angel,” and with it, he delivered another unforgettable performance.

PRETTY LITTLE LIARS Second Season Premieres, Leads into THE NINE LIVES OF CHLOE KING

Comments Off on PRETTY LITTLE LIARS Second Season Premieres, Leads into THE NINE LIVES OF CHLOE KING

The second season of PRETTY LITTLE LIARS premieres on ABC Family this evening and we’ve got a lot to tell you about what’s on tap.

First of all, where the hell is Ian? With his body M.I.A., the girls are starting to really look like the liars that they are — you know, but worse. So their parents decide that the best thing for the ladies will be a little bit of psychotherapy… think ‘A’ will be pleased with the situation?

What else? Well, Caleb is back — courtesy of Lucas — trying to win Hanna’s heart once again while Mona will deal with some karma, courtesy of her deception last season. P.S. Word is, she’s taken a lover. Yep, she’s paired up. Any guesses on with whom?

Also, stay tuned for some solid Spencer/Toby time. They won’t be apart forever.

Then, of course, there are the triangles to contend with. Aria’s man Ezra is now teaching at the same school as his ex-fiancee, while Aria is rumored to be spending time with another possible love interest as well this season.

And, yeah, Emily’s still moving to Texas.

So, now that you’ve gotten a little refresher course/tease of what’s to come, will you watch tonight’s second season premiere of PRETTY LITTLE LIARS?

And will you stick around for the series debut of THE NINE LIVES OF CHLOE KING, airing at 9 p.m. immediately following PLL?

If you’re unfamiliar with the premise of CHLOE KING, you can catch up here, but it’s basically about a teenage girl who is beginning to notice that she possesses some new cat-like abilities. Turns out, she’s part of ancient race known as the “Mai” who are both god and human. And guess what, not everyone is down with the Mai. Despite having a symbiotic relationship with humans and having protected them throughout history, the Mai have been hunted by human assassins for over a thousand years… and Chloe could be their only chance for survival, their chosen one.

Take a look at a preview for the series and tune in to the premiere this evening…

THE BACHELORETTE: Life Post-Bentley

June 14, 2011 by

Hey BACHELORETTE fans!

The gang headed to Thailand in last night’s episode…and unfortunately I have nothing witty to say about it, because I haven’t seen the episode yet.

Grr.

The good news, is I’ll be watching the episode as soon as it’s up on ABC’s website, so I will share some thoughts (okay, and some snark) as soon as possible.

The bad news is I won’t be able to join you guys in the comments as you weigh in on what went down last night. Which guys are standing out to you? What moment made you cringe the most. And should I even ask how many times the name “Bentley” was uttered? (I’m afraid of that answer.)

Pretty Little Liars | 8pm on ABC Family | Season Premiere
“It’s Alive”
With Ian’s body missing and the entire town of Rosewood questioning what exactly happened the night before at the church, Aria, Emily, Hanna and Spencer have a lot of explaining to do. But with the police and their parents not quite sure what to believe, the girls’ parents rally together to try and help the four out with the assistance of a therapist (guest star Annabeth Gish). Now being forced to talk out their problems, Aria, Emily, Hanna and Spencer feel more alone than ever. Even with a reassurance that everything they discuss won’t leave the therapist’s office, is this the person the Liars can finally tell about “A?” Or is there no place safe from “A’s” watchful eye?

Meanwhile, love is on the rocks for the girls when Spencer is forbidden to see Toby, Aria cools things off with Ezra, and Caleb comes back to town for Hanna.

THE GLEE PROJECT Premiere: Highs and Lows

June 13, 2011 by

So what did you think of last night’s premiere of THE GLEE PROJECT?  I don’t know about you, but I have some contestants I’m loving already.  Let’s discuss the good and the bad, shall we?

THE GOOD

  • I thought Darren Criss made a great mentor.  I may be a little biased because I just love him to death, but he genuinely seemed like he wanted these kids to succeed.  And I thought he gave good dancing advice to the winner of the “individuality” challenge, seeing as how he himself is an adorably awkward dancer. And how cute did he look with his scruff, bed-head, old man cardigan and glasses?  He looked the complete opposite of always-dapper Blaine, but it worked for him!
As much as I love Darren, though, I didn’t agree with his choice of a winner.  I would have gone with Samuel, even though it was hard to get a clear picture of the contestants’ individuality with them singing only one line of “Signed Sealed Delivered.” In the end, Matheus won and got one-on-one time with Darren.  (I’d like to have some one-on-one time with Darren, too, if you know what I mean.  HE-LLO!)
