TORCHWOOD: MIRACLE DAY Series Premiere Preview

Comments Off on TORCHWOOD: MIRACLE DAY Series Premiere Preview
Give Me My Remote got a sneak peek at the series premiere of TORCHWOOD: MIRACLE DAY, and we have some thoughts (and scoop!) on the first season!
My favorite part about TORCHWOOD has always been its fearlessness. Russell T. Davies and his exceptional team of writers don’t allow themselves to be tied down by rules or risk, and MIRACLE DAY is no exception. When you hear the words that Oswald Danes (Bill Pullman) uses to confess his truly despicable crime, it’ll send chills up your spine. And when medical examiners try to identify the laws of the Miracle by pushing life to the limit with an explosion victim, you’ll be watching through the gaps of your fingers as they press against your scandalized eyes.

The fun thing about competition shows like SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE is seeing who steps up to the challenge each week. With a group of dancers as talented as the season eight bunch is, the potential for greatness is there with all of them, which means the pressure will only keep mounting.
Thankfully, the dancers were in a great mood after Wednesday’s live performance show, and Give Me My Remote talked with all seven remaining couples about their experiences this week…

Thursdays are quickly becoming my least favorite day of the week. Why? Because all of my favorites keep getting kicked off SYTYCD!
If you’re in the mood to laugh rather than dance, there’s always LOUIE and WILFRED on FX to keep you giggling. And there’s also the season premiere of BIG BROTHER to look forward to.
Lots more…

SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE: Cat Deeley Talks Season 8
July 6, 2011 by Marisa Roffman

As the host of SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE, Cat Deeley has had to deal with a lot this season. Not only did the judges throw a last minute curveball at her when they decided during the first week of live shows not to let any of the contestants go, but she also had to put up with a whole lot of mid-show kissing last week. (This, people, is why she is the most underrated reality show host on television.)
Deeley talked with reporters after last week’s elimination show about the judges’ unpredictable nature, what she thought of the eliminations so far and much more…

James Spader Joins THE OFFICE

James Spader is officially joining THE OFFICE cast, NBC announced today via press release.
“James will reprise his role as Robert California, this uber-salesman that has a power to convince and manipulate, like a high-class weirdo Jedi warrior,” said executive producer/costar Paul Lieberstein, in statement. “He’ll have been hired over the summer as the new manager, but within hours, got himself promoted. Within days, he took over the company. James has an energy that is completely his own, and THE OFFICE has no tools for dealing with this guy. We’re thrilled he’s joining our cast.”
But what do you think? Are you happy Spader will be joining THE OFFICE as the new big boss?

Comments Off on Diane Neal and Stephanie March Return For LAW & ORDER: SPECIAL VICTIMS UNIT Season 13
Well, this may help take the sting off of Chris Meloni’s departure from LAW & ORDER: SPECIAL VICTIMS UNIT — an NBC spokesperson confirms that former SVU stars Diane Neal (Casey) and Stephanie March (Alex) will return to the series for the upcoming 13th season.
While the number of episodes each woman will be in is still to be determined, new SVU showrunner Warren Leight tweeted earlier Tuesday, “Good news, ADAs Cabot and Novak will both be in the SVU courtrooms for Season13. Thanx Stephanie March and Diane Neal. Criminals, beware.” When a fan asked him if the actresses would be alternating episodes or if they’d be appearing together, he replied, “They will each catch cases as they come.”
What do you think? Are you thrilled Casey and Alex will be returning to SVU?
