WAREHOUSE 13: Joanne Kelly Weighs in on a Pete-Myka Romance

On WAREHOUSE 13, the subtext in the dynamic between Pete and Myka has always been up for debate. Are they friends? Sibling-like? Potential romantic partners?
The duo always seemed to easily shift between the layers seamlessly, but this season, more than ever, it’s seemed like the show has hinted that the partners might end up going in a romantic direction.
But what do the actors think? When Give Me My Remote spoke with Eddie McClintock (Pete) and Joanne Kelly (Myka) last season, both actors seemed to be leaning towards a platonic relationship, but since so much has changed in that time, we asked Kelly for her thoughts after the show’s recent Comic-Con panel…

I think that despite their friendship, they still have something more going on there, and also the way Rebecca and Jack had that ‘didn’t agree’ relationship, then got together sort of reminded me of these two. I don’t know I just think it would be sweet.
i think that pete and myka need to hook up cause they are perfect for each other!
The show has been built on their chemistry. I think it’s a little late to push the brother and Santa thing. I mean after the Vegas episode where Pete checks out Myka and the model episode…well my brother doesn’t say “wow” when he sees me or check out my butt. We definitely don’t kiss or wake up naked next to each other.
Sibling relationship indeed. I understand the show doesn’t want to push that, but they should have started out like that. Now it’s just frustrating and weird.
