August 4, 2011 by Marisa Roffman
At Thursday’s TCA panel for the new CW show, RINGER, series star Sarah Michelle Gellar (Bridget/Siobhan) confirmed that she would be heading back to ALL MY CHILDREN before the series leaves ABC Daytime in September.
While Gellar didn’t know exactly what she’d be doing on the soap, she revealed she’ll spend one day shooting the guest spot and she will not be playing her original role of Kendall (Alicia Minshew has been playing the role since 2002).

- Speaking of soap stars, THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS’ Michelle Stafford will guest on an upcoming episode, playing a socialite from Bridget’s world. Former ALL MY CHILDREN star Justin Bruening has signed on to play a man from Siobhan’s past.
- Will Joss Whedon come to direct an episode of the series? “I think he’s a little busy making that superhero movie at the moment,” Gellar joked. (Whedon is currently working on THE AVENGERS.)
- If the show takes off, the executive producers have tentatively mapped out three seasons. They compared it to DAMAGES, with their intention to play a bit with time and perspective.
- The show intends to use flashbacks to questions, whether it’s scenes between Bridget and Siobhan (them as children and in more recent years), or exploring the origins of Siobhan’s relationships with Andrew and Henry.
