THE OFFICE: Josh Groban Scores a Guest Spot

August 18, 2011 by

Andy Bernard, your family tree keeps growing on THE OFFICE.

NBC has confirmed to Give Me My Remote that singer Josh Groban has landed the role as Andy’s younger brother, Walter Jr. Deadline was first to report the guest spot.

In addition to Groban, the newly cast Bernard clan also features Stephen Collins as Andy’s father and Dee Wallace as Andy’s mom.

While we obviously would love to know if Walter Jr. and Andy might croon a little together (that would be completely amazing, right?!), the arrival of Andy’s family is a bit questionable. What could prompt all of them to show up?

Have any theories, THE OFFICE fans?

When we last left our HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER gang, viewers learned that the future wedding Ted, Lily and Marshall were attending was Barney’s big day.

The bride, however, is still a big question mark. Will it be Nora, the woman who seems to be captivating Barney in our current timeline? Robin, who seems to be falling for her oblivious ex-boyfriend again? Some mystery woman we’ve yet to meet?

While presently, Nora seems like the most likely candidate, for those of you who are firmly on Team Robin, all hope is certainly not lost.

In fact, take a look at this steamy promotional picture CBS has released for HIMYM season 7… Read more

It’s hard to believe, but the 90210 kids are off to college!

Yes, they may be freshly minted out of high school, but that doesn’t mean these characters don’t have some very adult problems. The pregnancy wasn’t news, but now we have a possible engagement, too?! CASTLE has scored William Atherton for a cool guest spot.

ABC has confirmed to Give Me My Remote that Atherton will appear in the upcoming CASTLE episode, “Head Case,” as Dr. Ari Weiss. According to TVGuide.com (who first reported the casting news), Dr. Weiss is a “life-extension researcher who has dedicated most of his work to the study of cryogenic freezing.”

Let’s start taking bets now: how many freezer/cold/chilly jokes is Castle going to make during the hour? I’m guessing 6…

SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE season 8 champ Melanie is making the promotional rounds to celebrate her victory, and she brought along a familiar face for her spot on LIVE WITH REGIS & KELLY: her former SYTYCD partner, Marko!

The dancers performed their “Turn to Stone” routine on the talk show, and call me crazy, but I think it may be even better than when they first tackled the dance. (And really, how crazy to constantly be reminded that this was our first introduction to their partnership?!)

Just when you think The CW can’t promote their new series RINGER more, they do.

You have to give them credit, though — there isn’t an abundance of material for them to use, but the promos still manage to be distinct. (And, as a bonus, they’re using an awesome song. That always sucks me in.)

Is it just me, or is it a bit hard to believe we’re already up to GREY’S ANATOMY season 8?

Poor Meredith sure has gone through a lot in the seven seasons we’ve seen, and based on the promo for the new year, it doesn’t seem like her journey is about to get any easier.

While her job situation likely won’t stick, it seems like the new mom will continue to have marital problems with Derek. On the bright side, it appears that her friends will have her back in the whole “Karev sold Meredith out when he was drunk” situation.

Take a look at the new promo for GREY’S ANATOMY season 8!
