Four ONE LIFE TO LIVE Actors Sign On to Continue With the Online Series! Plus, Susan Lucci Off ALL MY CHILDREN?
September 6, 2011 by Marisa Roffman
When ONE LIFE TO LIVE makes the leap from television to online airings, at least four familiar faces will be along for the ride: Prospect Park has announced that barring any issues with AFTRA, Erika Slezak (Viki), Kassie DePaiva (Blair), Michael Easton (John) and Ted King (Tomas) will continue with the series once the show leaves ABC in January of 2012.
Slezak’s Viki has long been the matriarch of OLTL, so her staying on as the show makes its transition is a relief to at least this fan. DePaiva has been with the show for nearly 18 years, Easton joined the cast in ’03 and King is a daytime vet, so the production company has certainly gone after the vets in the first wave of cast signings. Hopefully by securing these four actors, Prospect Park will be able to hammer out deals with other actors who help make the soap what it is.
On the not-as-good news front, Deadline is reporting that Susan Lucci has turned down Prospect Park’s offer to reprise her iconic role as Erica Kane when ALL MY CHILDREN makes the move online. There is no official confirmation at this time, but it’s hard to imagine AMC without Erica Kane in the mix, isn’t it?
Now that you know a few names signed on to the new version of OLTL, who are you hoping signs on next? (My personal votes? Robert S. Woods, Hillary B. Smith, Bree Williamson and Melissa Archer.) Plus, would you watch AMC without La Lucci? Weigh in below!

While Susan would be missed … there are so many others that I would love to see make the transititon….namely, Michael E. Knight, Darnell Williams, Ricky Paul, Jordy and of course Alicia Minshew. The cast is like my family and I do hope they will consider their FANS.
I have watched AMC, OLTL and GH for 31 of my 41 years!!!! I am seriously saddened and annoyed by the cancellations. However, I am happy to see them being picked up by another company. I would love for my favorite actors/characters return!!!! However, I don’t even want to imagine a AMC without La Lucci !!!!!!
