Jimmy Kimmel Pays Tribute to Uncle Frank

September 7, 2011 by

On Tuesday’s episode of JIMMY KIMMEL LIVE!, Kimmel paid tribute to his Uncle Frank — a JKL! fixture from the start of the series — who passed away two weeks ago.

While Kimmel was obviously emotional, the series put together a montage to celebrate Frank’s time on the show…but, um, bring some tissues, because it may definitely will make you tear up a bit…

Four ONE LIFE TO LIVE Actors Sign On to Continue With the Online Series! Plus, Susan Lucci Off ALL MY CHILDREN?

When ONE LIFE TO LIVE makes the leap from television to online airings, at least four familiar faces will be along for the ride: Prospect Park has announced that barring any issues with AFTRA, Erika Slezak (Viki), Kassie DePaiva (Blair), Michael Easton (John) and Ted King (Tomas) will continue with the series once the show leaves ABC in January of 2012.

Slezak’s Viki has long been the matriarch of OLTL, so her staying on as the show makes its transition is a relief to at least this fan. DePaiva has been with the show for nearly 18 years, Easton joined the cast in ’03 and King is a daytime vet, so the production company has certainly gone after the vets in the first wave of cast signings. Hopefully by securing these four actors, Prospect Park will be able to hammer out deals with other actors who help make the soap what it is.

Ben Flajnik is the Next BACHELOR

Comments Off on Ben Flajnik is the Next BACHELOR

With BACHELOR PAD’s season finale airing next week, it’s time to look ahead to the next installment of the franchise — this winter’s edition of THE BACHELOR. After weeks of rumors, ABC has announced that Ben Flajnik, the runner-up to Ashley’s heart on last season of THE BACHELORETTE, will star in the next season of the reality series.

Did you forget who Ben is? According to the network’s description of him in a press release (which also calls him “a rare, modern Renaissance man”), “Ben dabbles in a lot of hobbies and crafts, such as crab fishing, sailing, golf, skate boarding, surfing, playing piano and singing in a tribute band. He is also quite handy with a hammer and saw, and loves fixing and building things, as well as landscaping. The woman who will share his life will also have to share one of his other great loves: his Jack Russell Terrier, Scotch.”

What do you think? Are you okay with Ben being the next BACHELOR? Or were you hoping the franchise would pick someone entirely new to viewers this season?

BACHELOR PAD 2: Erica Crosses a Line

September 6, 2011 by

“I let Blake know I would be frustrated if he didn’t have sex with me” – Erica.

If that was the most offensive thing Erica said during Monday night’s episode of BACHELOR PAD, it might not have been so terrible. Instead, viewers had to watch Erica — who has been pretty despicable throughout the run of the series so far — essentially sexually harass Blake, who didn’t exactly want to sleep with Erica.

Look, Blake has been a pretty terrible person in this game, too. He played Melissa, he played Erica and he was sleazy while going after Holly. Nearly everyone in the house wanted him gone, heck, I’ve wanted him gone for weeks, but that still doesn’t make Erica’s actions in tonight’s episode okay.
