How I Met Your Mother | 8pm on CBS
“The Slutty Pumpkin Returns”
Ted finally meets his mystery girl in the Slutty Pumpkin costume. Meanwhile, Barney learns he is part Canadian, and Lily has pregnancy brain. Katie Holmes guest stars as Naomi, the Slutty Pumpkin.

The Sing-Off | 8pm on NBC
“Top Seven Groups: Superstar Medleys”
In this Halloween-themed episode, the stage is transformed into a cemetery and the seven remaining groups perform an opening medley of “This is Halloween,” “Werewolves of London” and “Ghostbusters.” The groups later battle it out by performing hits from some of music’s biggest stars. The group that remains standing at the end of the season receives the prize of $200,000 cash and a Sony Music recording contract.

Terra Nova | 8pm on Fox
“Bylaw”
The colony falls victim to its first murder, and Jim and Taylor must find the perpetrator. Also, Skye helps Josh find a way to get Kira, his girlfriend from 2149, to the past, while Elisabeth and Zoe race to help an unborn Ankylosaurus survive.

Two Broke Girls | 8:30pm on CBS
“And The Pretty Problem”
Caroline enrolls herself and Max in a cake-decorating class to increase their skill level and take their cupcake business to the next level.

Dancing with the Stars | 8:30pm on ABC | Special Time
“Episode 1307”
The competition continues as the remaining celebrity contestants and their partners perform for a seventh week. This week features couples performing dances with Halloween themes, as well as team dances.

Jake has a crush on his chemistry tutor, who has a crush on Walden. Meanwhile, Alan obsesses over the journal his brother left him in his will.

Mike and Molly | 9:30pm on CBS
“Happy Halloween”
Mike’s spooked when Molly’s boss invites them to a party on Halloween, a holiday he dreads.

Castle | 10pm on ABC
“Cops & Robbers”
When Castle and Martha are taken hostage by a crew of bank robbers dressed in hospital scrubs and using classic television doctor names, Beckett finds herself on the outside, desperately trying to rescue them — which proves to be even more difficult with a by-the-book hostage negotiator watching her every move. Castle becomes the de facto leader of the hostages and discovers that the robbery is actually a skillfully orchestrated distraction for an even more sinister plan. But with Castle stuck on the inside and Beckett on the outside, will either be able to foil the bank robbers’ plans before it is too late?

Hawaii Five-O | 10pm on CBS
“Ka Iwi Kapu”
When the Five-0s investigate the murder of a young couple filming a spooky documentary about a traditional Hawaiian burial site, they are threatened by a drifter who puts a curse on Danny.
