About Last Night…DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES, THE WALKING DEAD, PAN AM and More
November 7, 2011 by Marisa Roffman
Sunday night TV is always difficult to manage, but without a TiVo? It’s pretty brutal.
Let’s talk about what went down last night…
Lynette reached a whole new low on DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES, but thankfully she finally snapped out of it and started acting like a responsible parent to Penny. Hopefully she keeps this mindset for the rest of the series. And Ben got rid of the body for Bree, with the throwaway comment that he might need something from her someday. That wink may have been charming, but he has to have ulterior motives, right?
THE WALKING DEAD had possibly one of the grossest moments I’ve ever seen on television when a zombies body literally ripped in half with its organs, blood, etc. going everywhere — and yet it was almost so over-the-top that it didn’t really bother me. As for Lori’s pregnancy “twist,” were any non-comic book fans surprised by the twist?
PAN AM keeps bringing in really, really good guest stars who I find interesting and pairing them up with established characters, which therefore makes me more interested in the original guys. Unfortunately, it seems we’ve seen the last of Nico (at least for a bit), which is a shame, because his relationship with Kate was one of the most intriguing aspects of the series for me. However, if the show brings back Gaius Charles’ Joe in the meantime, I’d be okay with that.
HELL ON WHEELS…I still haven’t been able to finish the pilot. What I saw did not appeal to me at all, but I will finish it one of these days.
And that’s all I was able to watch. I know, I know, it kills me, too. This week might be a little tough in terms of watching TV.
But tell me — what did you watch?

Nothing on the epic love story at Snow Falls from “Once Upon a Time” last night? So good.
For the first time ever (and I somehow insist on watching it every week despite my limited enjoyment!) Pan Am actually elicited an emotional reaction from me and I cried at the good-bye scene with Kate and Nico…probably because Kate is one of only two characters I actually like and because I didn’t want Goran to go!!
