About Last Night…GOSSIP GIRL, HART OF DIXIE, HOUSE and More

Monday TV! Normally, it’s crazy, but last night it almost felt…relaxed. Maybe it was thanks to all the reruns? But that doesn’t mean there wasn’t plenty of quality television, so let’s talk about what went down last night!

The more time we spend with Charlie/Ivy on GOSSIP GIRL, the more I want to know where the real Charlie is. Dead? In rehab? Jail? I do like Ivy as Charlie, but it feels like this ticking time bomb of a secret is going to explode sooner versus later. (Can we please have more Rufus and Lily, please?)

“I’m a Jewish pirate.” That HART OF DIXIE line shouldn’t have cracked me up quite as much as it did, but I still can’t stop laughing over it. I do wish The CW had aired this before Thanksgiving, because who wouldn’t want to try a little Planksgiving?! And now that Wade was about to lay out his feelings for Zoe, how long until something happens between them? (I know it’s not totally up to him, but it feels like they wouldn’t put it out there so blatantly if they intended to string it out for another 3, 4, 5 seasons.)

HOUSE still has me apathetic.  I feel like there’s a spark missing and that makes me sad. Whether it’s just my patience waning or the show has lost something (Lisa Edelstein/Cuddy are certainly missed), I’m not sure. I’m still watching, though.

It was nice to have RIZZOLI & ISLES back, but the Bill O’Reilly thing felt a little forced. Not because of who he is or what he represents, but because it felt like they were trying to have him in as much of the episode as they possibly could fit.

While there were plenty of other things on last night, I also found myself watching the HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER rerun. “Blitzgiving” still amuses me, and I loved that it kept me thinking of LOST.
