Earlier this week, we looked back at 2011’s most memorable episodes and shows, and there’s no denying it was a darn good year for television.
But as much as I’ve been looking back at what went down this year, I’ve been thinking a lot about what I’d like to happen in 2012.
What am I hoping goes down in 2012? Read on…

It’s been more than a month since FRINGE last graced our television screens, but the good news is we have only a little over two weeks to go before it returns!
We’ve already given you a little tease from John Noble (Walter) of what you can expect when the show returns in 2012, and while I don’t think these photos from “Back to Where You’ve Never Been” will shed further light on his cryptic clue, perhaps you will pick up on something I haven’t.

What TV Props Do You Wish You Owned?

A couple weeks back, Profiles in History had a rather large selection of television and movie props up for auction, and unfortunately for me, they had items from two of my favorite shows. There was no way I could justify spending $3,000 on FBI ID badges from THE X-FILES and unless I won a huge lottery prize, the $42,000+ spent on the FRIENDS frame was insanely out of my budget. (Side note: $42,000 for a frame you put on a door? REALLY?!)
Seeing those items from shows I’ve loved in the past got me thinking about what other TV props I’d love to own from shows that are currently on. I mean, does any self-respecting television nerd not wish they had some sort of memento from their favorite show(s)?
So which items from current shows top my TV prop wish list? Take a look…

It’s no secret I adore ABC’s new comedy, SUBURGATORY, and if you haven’t been tuning in regularly, the network has whipped up a trailer for the series to highlight what has happened on the show so far. (And if you have been keeping up, the two-plus minute video is a great highlight of many of the show’s best moments.)
Check out our exclusive first look at the new extended SUBURGATORY promo…

Like the top 10 episodes of 2011 post, I need to start off my list with a caveat: I’m behind (but currently catching up on) BREAKING BAD, JUSTIFIED and PARKS & RECREATION. I understand that they are all amazing shows, but I haven’t seen enough of their current season to judge them fairly. So before you yell at me for excluding those shows, keep that in mind.
With that being said, here are my top 10 television shows of 2011 in descending order…
Top 10 TV Episodes of 2011

Much like last year, I need to start off my list with a caveat: I’m behind (but currently catching up) on BREAKING BAD, JUSTIFIED and PARKS & RECREATION. I understand that they are all amazing shows and have had some phenomenal episodes this past year, but I haven’t seen them yet. (You may see me lamenting on Twitter my exclusion of certain episodes when I reach them, but that’s the best I can offer at this point.)
But that’s not to take anything away from the shows that are on this list. There has been some darn good television in the past 12 months.
Everyone has different definitions of what makes an episode great, so odds are you won’t 100% agree with my picks, but that’s okay. This is my admittedly biased selection of the 10 best episodes of 2011, listed in alphabetical order by series…

What happens when you put five food gurus on one show? Well, for one thing, you’ll get a lot of appetizing food options that they can’t wait to try out themselves.
But with all those dishes at their disposal, when I went to THE CHEW’s New York set, I had to ask co-hosts Carla Hall and Daphne Oz about what recipes they’ve enjoyed the most (so far).
So, what was their answer?
For that and more, take a look…
