RINGER Recap: ‘That’s What You Get for Trying to Kill Me’

Well, Tuesday’s RINGER was kind of boring, right?

Of course, if you saw the mid-season finale of RINGER, you know I’m joking (I hope). Although the episode wasn’t my favorite of the season, it was one of the best because (MAJOR SPOILER ALERT) not only was there a shocking death, but there were two shocking deaths!

After Sophie and Mackenzie lock a student in the school bathroom, Annie and Nikki must punish their daughters by not allowing them to attend the school dance. On the night of the dance, the mothers try to hold firm on their decision, despite the girls’ best efforts to derail their punishments, while the fathers make the situation worse.

Psych | 10pm on USA

Juliet’s estranged con-man father (William Shatner) tries to mend fences with his daughter. But his commitment to staying on the right side of the law is tested when a perfect con opportunity presents itself.

I HATE MY TEENAGE DAUGHTER: Kevin Rahm, Chad Coleman and Eric Sheffer Stevens Tease Their New Comedy

The newest Fox comedy may be called I HATE MY TEENAGE DAUGHTER, but one thing is for certain — this cast certainly has decidedly more affection for each other than the title might imply.

Case in point: When I was on the set talking with Chad Coleman (Gary), Eric Sheffer Stevens (Matt) — the on-screen fathers of the aforementioned teenage daughters — and Kevin Rahm (Jack, Matt’s brother) we got interrupted by costars Jaime Pressly (Annie) and Katie Finneran (Nikki) crashing our interview. (And yes, it was adorable.)

Although Mike is thrown for a loop when he meets his new neighbors, a loving lesbian couple, he is impressed with the similar interests he shares with one of the women. Also, when Mandy catches her boyfriend in a lie, she enlists help from Kristin and Eve to make a revenge music video.

“Project Runaway”
Dixon struggles with temptation as he tries to make his way back into the music world, while Annie confronts Jeremy, who stands in the way of her inheritance. Naomi and Holly embarrass themselves in front of Janice Dickinson at a fashion show, while Navid reaches a breaking point with his uncle. Meanwhile, Teddy (Trevor Donovan) makes a big decision that upsets Silver.

“Disciplining the Keens”
After they find out that Nathan’s allergic, the whole family goes on a gluten free diet, which leads to a weird competition between Will and Theresa to see who can keep the diet up longer, and for Brenda, who’s trying to convince health-conscious Grant she can live without it. Problem is, they’re all cheating. Meanwhile, it’s all fast food, all the time for Craig and Kenny as they romance two ladies who work at Big Burger.

CASTLE: Stana Katic Talks About the ‘Kill Shot’ Ending and Previews ‘Cuffed’

After seasons of struggling with her mother’s death, CASTLE’s Beckett finally made a conscious decision at the end of last week’s episode, “Kill Shot,” to try and start to let go of the case that has defined so much of who she has become. (Though, as regular CASTLE fans are well aware, Castle is secretly investigating her mother’s case on his own.)

So what’s next?

I sat down with Stana Katic (Beckett) after her recent SAG Foundation panel to discuss what Beckett’s revelation will mean for her character. Plus, with next week’s episode literally handcuffing the duo together, will any of their long-simmering secrets be revealed?

Also, Zoe faces a difficult decision as the Ankylosaur she has been caring for grows rapidly.

“Rhodes to Perdition”
