LAW & ORDER: SPECIAL VICTIMS UNIT Adds Harry Connick Jr. For Multi-Episode Arc

Get ready to see a whole new side of LAW & ORDER: SPECIAL VICTIMS UNIT’s Olivia Benson!
NBC announced at their TCA press day that Harry Connick Jr. has been tapped for a four-episode arc as Benson’s new love interest — and the unit’s new D.A.
In a preview clip that was shown, the duo got very friendly after a case, with the suggestion of a drink leading to, um, more.
And for the fans who were worried that Mariska Hargitay won’t be in every episode this season, NBC exec Bob Greenblatt shot those rumors down, saying she’ll be in every episode. (She was a little lighter in earlier episodes due to her real-life adoption.)
In a pre-taped video for critics, Hargitay echoed her commitment to the series.
“I can’t leave this show, I’m having too much fun,” Hargitay reiterated.
