RAISING HOPE: Garret Dillahunt Teases ‘Mrs. Smartypants’
January 17, 2012 by Marisa Roffman
When you get the indication that your child (or grandchild) is going to be smart, there’s clearly only one solution to your problem — try and one-up them.
Well, at least that’s the correct solution for RAISING HOPE’s Chance family. In tonight’s brand new episode, they become worried Hope is going to wind up being the smartest family member.
“We all are afraid that Hope is going to be so much smarter than us and we’re going to be the dumbest people around,” series star Garret Dillahunt (Burt) teased. “One of them is going to get their G.E.D. and the other is like, ‘Well, no, if you get your G.E.D., I’ll be the dumbest one, so I’ll get mine, too!’ And [guest star] Fred Willard was our high school teacher back in the day, and he also does the G.E.D. training, so he’s not thrilled to see us again. We were not the best students.”
Does that mean we should expect some high school-like behavior from the Chances?
“We do a little bit,” Dillahunt noted.
And if you happened to see a certain episode of RAISING HOPE last year, a familiar persona will be making an return appearance in tonight’s hilarious outing…
RAISING HOPE airs Tuesdays at 9:30 PM on Fox. Will you be tuning in?
