SCANDAL: Shonda Rhimes Teases Her New Series

ABC has many shows debuting this midseason, but one of my favorites is the new drama, SCANDAL, which dives into the behind-the-scenes world of Olivia Pope (played by Kerry Washington), an infamous crisis manager in Washington, D.C.

And while SCANDAL executive producer Judy Smith worked as a crisis manager, that’s not to say you should expect to see “ripped-from-the-headline” cases of the week.

BONES Scoop: A New Romance, Who Will Be Popping Up in the Season Finale and More

January 10, 2012 by

BONES is back this week, but its return is just a tease — not only is the show temporarily borrowing its old Thursday at 8 PM time slot, but after the one (very important) hour it will then go off the air for the next few months. (An exact return date is still TBD.)

But it’s never too early to start teasing what to expect when the show comes back for its next batch of episodes, right? I caught up with BONES executive producers Stephen Nathan and Carla Kettner at Fox’s TCA party and grilled them on what viewers can expect in the second half of the season…

Keep reading to figure out what you’ll be tuning into this Tuesday!

NCIS | 8pm on CBS

When a Navy lieutenant commander is found dead in a building under construction, NCIS must search for a killer while dealing with interruptions from her distraught detective husband. Meanwhile, Ray’s return has Ziva thinking about her future.

The Biggest Loser | 8pm on NBC
“Episode 2”
The stakes are high this week when representatives of each team bid on the percentage of weight they think their team will lose at the weigh-in. The highest bidder gets a five-pound advantage if they hit their number at weigh-in – or lose the advantage to the other team if they don’t hit their mark. “The Biggest Loser” nutritionist teaches the contestants how to shop for healthy food, and the black and red teams square off in a fast-paced challenge in which they have to turn an anchor wheel to retrieve puzzle pieces and then race against the clock to put the puzzle together. And later, the players get a sobering wake-up call when Dr. Huizenga reveals their real “inner ages,” before the weigh-in leads to another player going home.

Last Man Standing | 8pm on ABC
“Take Your Daughter to Work”
Mike is taken aback when he finds out that Ed – who has been an absentee dad – has hired his daughter, Gabriella (Jamie-Lynn Sigler), to replace him as the new marketing consultant of Outdoor Man. When Ed agrees with Mike that her youth-oriented proposals to re-brand the retail stores aren’t the way to go, she plays the Daddy card for all its worth. Also, Mike and Eve bring home a stray dog that Mandy thinks she’s allergic to.

Work It | 8:30pm on ABC
“Shake Your Money Maker”
When newly-employed Lee and Angel go out into the field as sales reps for the first time dressed as women, former salesman Lee is confident he’ll be successful while Angel is concerned his background as a mechanic will not serve him well. But when Angel’s flirtatious ways earn him sales while Lee constantly strikes out, Lee tries subtly to elicit advice from wife Connie on ways a woman can flirt with a man.
