It’s been nearly 8 years, but NAPOLEON DYNAMITE is finally getting a follow-up to their movie — in the form of a new Fox animated series.
Given that the actors (who all reprised their film roles) have been working on this show for close to a year, I spoke with them about the series finally being ready to air, fan reaction and more.
Take a look at my chats with Jon Heder (Napoleon), Tina Majorino (Deb) and Jon Gries (Uncle Rico), Diedrich Bader (Rex) and Sandy Martin (Grandma)…

Who killed Rosie Larsen? If you’ve been dying to find out the answer to that year-old question, you’re going to have to wait a little bit longer.
Joel Stillerman, AMC’s SVP of Original Programming, revealed that yes, Rosie Larsen’s killer would be revealed in the upcoming season — but it won’t be until the sophomore year concludes.
“I can confirm reports the killer will be revealed in the season 2 finale,” he told reporters before he kicked off AMC’s TCA sessions. (THE KILLING was also supposed to have a panel here today, but dropped out due to “production conflicts.”)

FRINGE Recap: ‘Back to Where You’ve Never Been’

“Not everything is as it seems.”
Well, if there was any line that summed up “Back to Where You’ve Never Been,” it certainly was that. We got double-crossing, dreams and much, much more.
Given how many questions I had after watching the episode, instead of doing a traditional recap, we’re going to do things a little bit differently tonight. I’m going to highlight a few memorable moments/quotes from the episode and then I’m going to delve a little deeper into them. It may get nerdy, I may throw out crazy theories, and maybe you’ll share some of your own thoughts in the comments, because surely I can’t be the only one thinking these things…

I’ve teased tonight’s episode of FRINGE — and so have FRINGE stars John Noble (Walter) and Joshua Jackson (Peter) — a lot. But how about a few more teases from Jasika Nicole (Astrid)?
Erika Slezak Talks About Her 40 Years on ONE LIFE TO LIVE

Comments Off on Erika Slezak Talks About Her 40 Years on ONE LIFE TO LIVE
For ONE LIFE TO LIVE fans, very few people personify the series more than Erika Slezak, who has spent more than 40 years playing Viki, Nikki, Jean, etc. But now, with OLTL ending, it’s time to say goodbye.
I sat down with Slezak at OLTL’s final press day in New York late last year to talk about the important relationship that stood out to her, the anticipated transition to an online network, and her decision to sign on when the show moved to an Internet production. (Since those interviews took place in early November, Prospect Park announced they would no longer be going forward with those plans.)
Slezak and I talked in a fair amount of detail about why she chose to continue on with the soap if it was moving online, and while those plans may have fallen through, I felt it was important to include it in this piece. The actors truly believed going into the final days of shooting that they would be continuing on, and it’s unfortunate they won’t be.

ONE LIFE TO LIVE: Robert S. Woods and Hillary B. Smith Reflect on Their Time Working Together

For primetime shows, it’s a huge accomplishment to reach 5 seasons. 10 seasons or longer is practically a miracle. On a daytime soap, the rules are entirely different.
Case in point? ONE LIFE TO LIVE costars Robert S. Woods (Bo) and Hillary B. Smith (Nora) who have been working together for nearly 20 years. (Woods has actually been acting on the series for 32 years!)
I sat down with Woods and Smith at OLTL’s final press day in New York late last year to discuss the show’s finishing up its time on ABC, what kind of ending Bo and Nora would have, and the anticipated transition to an online network. (Since those interviews took place in early November, Prospect Park announced they would no longer be going forward with those plans.)

The end of ONE LIFE TO LIVE has arrived.
I was fortunate enough to attend OLTL’s final press day in New York late last year, where I sat down with multiple cast members to discuss the show’s ending and the anticipated transition to an online network. (Since those interviews took place in early November, Prospect Park announced they would no longer be going forward with those plans.)
I’ll have several ONE LIFE TO LIVE interviews going up today, so first up are Melissa Archer (Natalie) and Bree Williamson (Jessica).

BONES Recap: ‘The Crack in the Code’
January 13, 2012 by Sarah Curtis
We’ve talked about this before; BONES, at its core, is a story of redemption. Season 3 started with the introduction of a serial killer that rocked the team to the core — but the first episode of that season ended with Booth and Brennan (albeit professionally in some ways) agreeing that they were the center…and the center must hold.
THE FINDER Series Premiere Discussion
January 12, 2012 by Sarah Curtis
Filed under #1 featured, The Finder
It’s a great moment when some of the hype and publicity for a new show clears away and the first episode actually airs. At that point, viewers can genuinely weigh in with what they’ve seen and not just with what they’ve heard about. Such is the case with THE FINDER’s premiere on Fox.
Sure, two of this show’s characters, Walter Sherman and Leo Knox, made appearances in a season 6 episode of BONES, but in my opinion, “An Orphan Walks Into a Bar” is a good place to start fairly judging this new series.
PERSON OF INTEREST: Greg Plageman Teases ‘Super’
January 12, 2012 by Marisa Roffman
Filed under #1 featured, Person of Interest
If you thought things were going to go right back to normal after Reese was shot on the last episode of PERSON OF INTEREST, executive producer Greg Plageman’s teases for tonight’s brand new episode should dissuade you from that.
“[The episode is] called ‘Super’ and obviously Reese is a guy who gets in a lot of scrapes,” Plageman noted. “He shoots people, people shoot him, and I hate TV shows that never deal with the repercussions of ‘that guy just got shot.’ So let’s deal with it. He’s not dead, because the show would be dead and everybody knows that. But what’s a really fun way to extend that and deal with it in a realistic manner? He’s laid up, he’s hurt and he can’t do what he normally was.”
