THE VOICE Highlight: Tony Lucca Sings ‘Trouble’
February 6, 2012 by Marisa Roffman
Ever run into someone you knew as a kid and can’t quite place them? Well, hopefully if you did, it went a little bit better than when THE VOICE’s Christina Aguilera was reunited with her former MICKEY MOUSE CLUB costar Tony Lucca.
Lucca blew the coaches away with his rendition of “Trouble,” but, um, it took Aguilera a while before she realized who he was.
Take a look at his fantastic audition!
(Yep, that was Aguilera being informed who he was at the very end of the clip. Sadly, the official clip doesn’t have their reunion, but if it’s updated, we’ll let you know.)
What do you think of Lucca’s audition?

I thought Tony’s audition was FABULOUS! My sister & I saw him when he opened for *NSYNC way back in the day and he was awesome then too. I always felt he was on the brink of being the next big musician but it hasn’t happened. Hopefully ‘The Voice’ will be that stepping stone to huge success!
@Donna: Wait, which NSYNC concert did he open up? Now that you said that, I feel like something may have just clicked in my brain. I wonder if I saw him years ago…
@MarisaRoffman Wait, you don’t remember seeing Tony Lucca years ago? For shame! Try not seeing someone in over 20 years (when you were 11 years old), and being expected to know who that person is. Especially when the cast would change once the kids became too old. I watched MMC and I didn’t remember him.
Let’s not forget Tony Lucca provided the soundtrack for one of the greatest moments ever in the history of Friday Night Lights and his version of Devil Town was so great they used it twice, three times if you count the ad campaign for DirecTV.
And just a suggestion, if you want to share the clip of Tony’s reunion with Christina, Hulu allows you to create you own clips and it is pretty easy to do.
