If you go to Vancouver next week, or otherwise Wondercon, an interesting question for the showrunners on the one hand and the cast, especially Anna Torv and John Noble on the other:
Last year after the final all Fringe promotion adn media attention was about Josh Jackson, even up to Comic Con.
My take is that Jackson was being difficult and was not coming back, but since Fox and Warner Brothers see him as the superstar a lot of wheeling and dealing has been going on.
So in exchange for signing on , after the begining of S4 was already written, he was the special guest at Comic Con, got to pretend to write, and he got to sign a filmcontract in october/november for a film currently being filmed, in the middle of Fringe shooting.
When he signed the contract the writers were at episode 12, and because of Jackson had to rewrite and reschedule and adjust so that he can do his film, but most of all the rest of the cast have to adjust to his superstar needs.
So the showrunners have sacrified Olivia and Walter to Peter, the fantastic Anna Torv and John Noble have to serve Jackson, and in return Jackson insults them by going away for a film, meanwhile profiting from the hard work and crediblity of the talent of Torv and Noble.
It shows Jacksons disdain for his co-stars, in the light of his earlier media behaviour and no doubt when the episodes air that they had to film with no or little Peter, his fans will once again blame Anna and /or Seth.
Mr. Pinkner especially:
why has Josh Jackson been given this special supersar treatment, by which you insult the rest of the cast?
To Anna and John:
Last year each and every interview , especially Anna with her promotion in Europe, you had to talk about Jackson, how do you feel that he has been made the superstar by not only the media but also the showrunners , Fox and WB, and how do you feel that you have to cater to his needs.
Saddest thing is, when Jackson will be back the last episodes of Fringe it will be the same as in the beginning of this season, great episodes without him ignored , episodes with him hyped.
