About Last Night…RAISING HOPE, COUGAR TOWN, BREAKING IN and More

Let’s talk Tuesday night TV!

It’s no secret that I absolutely adore RAISING HOPE, but I’m very conflicted about the reveal that Burt poked a hole in a condom to intentionally knock up Virginia when they were teens. The sentiment that they were certain from the start that the other was “it” from the start, but was paranoid about what their coupling did for their spouse’s options (she revealed she sometimes worried whether she held him back due to her pregnancy and if he would have still chosen to be with her; he said he was concerned she’d realize she was too good for him if he didn’t knock her up), but eek. It’s a potentially troubling can of worms they opened there.

While I’m a little bummed the kid ended up being Grayson’s on COUGAR TOWN, it was good to see everyone being mature about the situation. (Eventually.) Elsewhere, the Laurie and Travis storyline was very interesting. I couldn’t decide whether it felt like it was designed to put them on more equal footing (now that he won’t just cave whenever she asks something of him because of his long-standing crush) or pushes them apart for the time being. Either way, the (literal) group dance Travis did was fantastic.

Watching BREAKING IN was difficult last night, because knowing all of the happiness Cameron and Melanie felt over finally get together was short-lived kind of sucked. The episode itself was hilarious, and I really wish more of you watched it!

RINGER should have been interesting. It was not. Henry accidentally killing Tyler should have packed more of a punch. It didn’t. (It weirdly felt buried.) I’m watching, but the show seems to have lost whatever it was that had me interested a couple of months back.

UNFORGETTABLE not only brought back the mysterious caller who “helped” the team earlier this season, but they also touched on Rachel’s murder. Excellent. A good episode, and I’m eager to see how this plays out later this year.

I’m scared to watch the SOUTHLAND finale. Legitimately scared. If I don’t watch it for a week or so can I pretend whatever bad stuff that goes down doesn’t happen?

I watched half of 90210 but haven’t brought myself to finish the other half. Eventually I’ll get to it. That one I’m less worried about, but rather wanted to watch everything else that didn’t scare me instead.
