Who Went Home on AMERICAN IDOL?
March 8, 2012 by Kath Skerry

It was the guys vs. the girls in the first week of head-to-head competition on AMERICAN IDOL. This week the guys took on Stevie while the girls had the daunting task of performing numbers from Whitney Houston’s songbook. There were some stand out performances and a few big flops. But it’s not about what happened on the stage as much as is it what happened after the show when America placed their votes.
In a bit of a twist (a la SYTYCD) the guy and the gal with the lowest votes faced the judges and Randy, J Lo and Steven decided who was staying and who was leaving.
So who was in the bottom group tonight? Who said their final farewell to IDOL? Keep reading to find out.

By now you’ve seen the pilot of AWAKE, right? (If not, what the heck are you waiting for? Go forth and watch it ASAP!)
While the dual realities were heavily featured in the advertising campaign for the show, hopefully the bit about the car accident being perhaps a tiny bit suspicious was unspoiled for you. And yes, that is important going forward.
Even better? If you’re worried about a delay in answers, that particular element of this tale will be resolved before the season is over!
AWAKE creator Kyle Killen and executive producer Howard Gordon talked about that and more during a recent press junket on set. Check it out…

While everyone is focused on helping Leslie win her election on PARKS AND RECREATION in the last batch of episodes this season, that doesn’t mean viewers shouldn’t expect additional hilarity from the other characters.
Case in point? Before the PaleyFest panel honoring his series, Chris Pratt teased that there are some fun things coming up for Andy (and offers up a fake spoiler for how the season ends).

A new detail about the notoriously hush-hush episode 19 of FRINGE has been revealed!
Give Me My Remote has confirmed that Australian actress Georgina Haig has been cast as Etta in the mysterious hour. TVLine was first to announce the news.
As of now, all that seems to be clear about her character is that she works with the character Henry Ian Cusick portrays in the same episode. (Cusick’s character is even more top-secret…no word on even his name yet.)

Were you sitting there thinking, “Man, I could really use another singing competition in my life?” Of course you weren’t! Well, ABC has just announced they’ve picked up a new show called DUETS.
However, in all fairness, this new reality show is a bit different than the other ones on TV right now. Contestants will actually get the chance to sing with music stars — Kelly Clarkson (who has been on every singing show at this point, right?), Sugarland’s Jennifer Nettles, Lionel Richie, and Robin Thicke — in their quest to win.
Take a look at the press release for the complete details…

Comments Off on PARKS AND RECREATION: Amy Poehler (Vaguely) Teases What’s to Come
If you were hoping for some gigantic end-of-season teasers from PARKS AND RECREATION star Amy Poehler when she walked the red carpet before the PaleyFest panel honoring her series, sadly, we don’t have that for you. In fact, the best tease the cast and crew gave out during the night is that they actually filmed two endings for the finale — one where Leslie wins the election and one where she loses. (Aside from the writers, only Poehler would cop to knowing the true outcome.)
But still, any Poehler is better than no Poehler, right? Take a look at what she told reporters last night…
