RINGER Recap: ‘You’re Way Too Pretty to Go to Jail’

Welcome back to another stimulating week of RINGER, GMMR readers!
Of course, I’m being sarcastic, but it is good to be back after taking off last week. (Me, not the show.) Nothing pleases me more than critiquing CW’s most over-the-top show, apart from ONE TREE HILL — thank the TV gods that’s finally being put out of its misery.
Tuesday’s episode of RINGER pretty much sums up my frustration with the drama: The whole episode continues to prove how ridiculous this already far-fetched concept is and pushes the extent of how dumb people can be, yet in the last three minutes or so, it hooks me all over again.

If you need some sort of special incentive to watch COUGAR TOWN tonight (you shouldn’t, it’s one of the funniest shows on television), we have two for you — not only did Courteney Cox (Jules) direct the episode, but there’s also a BRAVEHEART spoof.
Okay, and if you need to hear it from someone else, how about a tease from Cox herself? Take a look…

There’s another schedule change for you this week: RAISING HOPE is at 8pm tonight, moving from its 9:30pm timeslot.
Also, don’t forget COUGAR TOWN is brand new – more people need to watch! Look below to figure out what you’ll be watching!
The Biggest Loser | 8pm on NBC
“Episode 10”
This week, the age-old excuse “I’m stuck in my comfort zone” is addressed as contestants are pushed out of their comfort zones by switching trainers for the week. The red team works out with trainer Bob Harper, while the black team burns calories with trainer Dolvett Quince. And one trainer gets out of his own comfort zone by trying ballet with his female contestants! Also, the teams get down and dirty in a 70-foot wide mud pit, filled with various weight plates they have to find in a messy challenge that will give one team a big advantage. Then it’s time for the weigh-in, followed by an emotional elimination sending one more player home.
Raising Hope | 8pm on Fox
“Single White Female Role Model”
Sabrina is arrested after participating in an Occupy Natesville protest and is sentenced to two weeks in prison. One of the prison attendants claims to be a friend from her past and will stop at nothing to make Sabrina’s stay in the slammer as dreadful as possible until she remembers their childhood friendship. Meanwhile, the mayor of Natesville grants Virginia three wishes after she helps her avoid a public scandal, but when Jimmy turns down the mayor’s advances, Sabrina’s chances of being exonerated are put at risk.
90210 | 8pm on The CW
“Babes in Toyland”
Naomi’s sister Jen arrives with her son for a surprise visit. Adrianna and Dixon land a meeting with a major movie producer to discuss music on his next film, but are sabotaged by Vanessa. Meanwhile, Silver gets accepted into New York University and Ivy attracts attention in the underground scene when she switches to a less conventional style of art.
I Hate My Teenage Daughter | 8:30pm on Fox
“Teenage Escuela”
When Sophie tells Annie that she does not care about getting good grades, Annie decides to set an example by taking night classes at the local community college. Nikki joins her in a Spanish class and is surprisingly fluent as she frequently watches telenovelas. Meanwhile, the dads are in charge of getting the girls to finish an important school project.
Cougar Town | 8:30pm on ABC
“Full Moon Fever”
One look is all it takes for Bobby to fall for Travis’ photography professor (guest star Sarah Chalke), but Travis refuses to introduce them; Laurie falls for a guy she’s never met when she begins a romance, via twitter, with a soldier in Iraq; and Jules and Andy prepare to go to war against an unruly gang of kids on bikes who are terrorizing the cul-de-sac.

Fox Cancels TERRA NOVA

Bad news for fans of TERRA NOVA — Fox has confirmed that they have decided not to order a second season.
The only (small) bit of positive news? 20th Century Fox (the studio that produces the show) is still shopping the series around in the hopes of finding it a new home. It’s rare that sort of thing works, but stranger things have happened.
Are you upset that TERRA NOVA won’t be back on Fox next year?

Ding, ding, ding! It’s time for the battle rounds of THE VOICE!
While it makes for entertaining television, these rounds are also especially harsh — we’ll lose half of the talented singers in this phase of the competition.
But before we get to those depressing thoughts, I hit up a press day for the Los Angeles-based THE VOICE contestants and spoke with Team Christina’s Jesse Campbell, Chris Mann and Monique Benabou (the last two are competing against each other tonight!) and Team Cee Lo’s Cheesa Laureta about their journey on the show so far, how they felt about the battle rounds and more…

Comments Off on ONCE UPON A TIME: Ginnifer Goodwin Talks Charming and Why the Queen Hates Snow White
As viewers, we know Charming and Snow White are destined to be together on ONCE UPON A TIME. Heck, we’ve even see their (nearly) perfect wedding and the tragic birth of their daughter. But under the curse in Storybrooke, things aren’t so easy — Charming (AKA David) is married and while he still loves Snow (AKA Mary), they’re having an awfully hard time getting together.
So what is that like for the actors to have to play? Ginnifer Goodwin weighed in on her character’s love story with reporters before Sunday’s PaleyFest panel honoring her series, plus why she’s known for a while why the Evil Queen really hates Snow White…

Tonight, ALCATRAZ has two new episodes, but when will they be on? Keep reading to find out!
The Voice | 8pm on NBC
“The Battles Begin”
The “battle rounds” begin and the coaches enlist the help of music industry professionals to offer their knowledge and skill as advisers. Christina Aguilera teams up with Jewel and Lionel Richie, Adam Levine with Alanis Morissette and Robin Thicke, Cee Lo Green with Kenny “Babyface” Edmonds and Ne-Yo, and Blake Shelton with Kelly Clarkson and Miranda Lambert. In this phase, the coaches pit two of their own team members against each other in a dueling duet. After the vocal face-off, each coach must choose which vocalist from their team is the strongest and advance them to the live shows.
Alcatraz | 8pm on Fox | 2-Hour Event
“The Ames Bros./Sonny Burnett”
In back-to-back all-new episodes, two of Alcatraz’s most violent brothers, Herman and Pinky Ames, who were notorious for nearly escaping in 1963, find something mysteriously amiss when they return to Alcatraz in the present day. In the second installment, Sonny Burnett (guest star Theo Rossi), a man with an incredible dark side who became ultra-violent during his stint at Alcatraz, returns.
The Bachelor | 8pm on ABC
“The Women Tell All”
For the first time ever, one of the final two women who are vying for the Bachelor’s heart will make an appearance at “The Women Tell All.” Courtney, who has been the woman viewers and the other bachelorettes have loved to hate all season, will return to have her chance to defend herself. Will she apologize for her behavior? Will she fight back and be her fiery self, or will viewers see another, softer side of her? It’s an explosive reunion viewers won’t want to miss, as the most memorable bachelorettes from this season – including Kacie B., Nicki, Jenna, Blakeley, Samantha, Emily, Monica and Rachel – return to confront one other and Ben one last time on national television to dish the dirt and tell their side of the story. And Shawntel vents about how the women treated her when she returned to see Ben. A sneak peek at the Season Finale and the final two bachelorettes – Courtney and Lindzi – will also be featured.
