Who Went Home on THE VOICE?
April 17, 2012 by Marisa Roffman
THE VOICE may have said goodbye to two contestants last night, but two more were on the chopping block tonight.
Once again, the bottom two contestants were at the mercy of their judges after singing their last chance songs. So who was given the boot?
With Ashley and Lindsey getting the lowest amount of votes, Christina went against what the other coaches suggested and saved Lindsey.
As for Team Blake, when it came down to RaeLynn and Erin (and the credits rolling as host Carson Daly tried to get an answer), he finally said he was saving Erin.
Are you sad to see Ashley and RaeLynn go?

I liked Ashley a lot, but I was going to be annoyed if she beat Lindsey tonight. I would have sent Chris home, haha, but America and I did not agree, apparently, But Lindsey hit every single note, and she was just solid. I think she was the best to win.
As far as Erin and RaeLynn, I have never liked RaeLynn’s voice that much, but I get that her style isn’t mine and a lot of people really would like her, so I fully expected her to go all the way. I was rooting for Erin, but also felt sad for RaeLynn when she lost. And from where I sat, Erin is a classy lady for what looked like her effort to encourage RaeLynn–I thought that was very special.
One thing that annoys me is that Christina TOTALLY monopolized the time both nights this week. Blake BARELY had time to talk to his singers and or hear other opinions of other judges. That’s not out of the normal, Christina always talks a ton, but it was still annoying.
Marisa, glad you survived The Biebs 🙂
I’m still in shock over Monday’s show. Jordis and Jessie should not have gone home (I would have eliminated RaeLynn and Ashley). And my top 2 for each coach would have been Jermaine/Jordis and Lindsey/Jessie.
But I also thought that Tony Vincent was a shoo-in to make it deep, so what do I know?
Next week I am going with Juliet and Jamar for Cee-Lo, and Mathai and Tony Lucca for Adam. May change my picks after the performances, though.
