Fox Announces New Summer Celeb Dating Show – THE CHOICE

Picture it. Four celebrities. Sitting in high back rotating chairs. Their backs turned and unable to see the contestant on the stage. The decision to hit a button and turn their chair around will be based solely on what they hear from the person on the stage. If one on more of the celebrities turns their chair, the contestant on stage has the ultimate say as to which celebrity she chooses to go with.
Ladies and gentlemen, this is The Voice The Choice.
I kid you not.
Tonight Fox announced their newest reality show, THE CHOICE. This six-episode dating reality show helps four of the world’s “most eligible bachelors” on their quest to find true love (or as we like to call it, fame whoring).
I honestly wasn’t kidding about the format. During the “Blind Round”, the celebrities listen to each woman as she answers questions about “life, passions, turn-ons and turn-offs”. If the celebrity bachelor pulls the “love handle” (again, may I remind you that this is not a joke) then his chair spins around and brings him face-to-face with the female contestant. If more than one celeb spins around, then the contestant gets to choose whose “dating pool to swim in”.
Round 2 is the “Speed Choice” round where the woman has only a few seconds to sweep her celebrity beau of his feet. (Man, I’ve been doing this dating thing all wrong. If I only knew it was this easy.)
In the final round (ok folks this is where it gets really difficult for me), host Cat Deeley (why Cat, WHY?!) poses a challenge question to each of the team’s final two ladies. The woman left standing will be whisked away on a dream date. (And then will be dropped at home never to speak to the ‘celeb’ again).
Well if this isn’t a recipe for true love, what is?
The identity of the “bachelors” have not yet been revealed (what’s the over/under that Fox is still in negotiations with someone from The Jersey Shore and at lease one reality star from E!).
But wait…there’s more.
It’s not just about the boys. Famous bachelorettes (aka Kardahsians or Kardashian’esque) celebs will have their time in the spinning chair of love, too.
THE CHOICE premiers on Thursday, June 7th at 9/8c on Fox.
Will you tuning in? What world famous celebs do you think will be looking for love on THE CHOICE? Leave a comment and let us know.

So let’s get this going….
Is Rob Kardashian currently single?
I’m genuinely curious if they’d be able to rope a Fox star into this. Maybe a former reality contestant who didn’t do so hot?
I hear Corey Feldman is single.
Sounds like a cool show – I hope they will export that one to the UK. WE’ve got the voice, so now we need the choice 😉
Bazarre! And who picks the men/and or/women who get a chance at dating these celebs? In other words, how does one get on the show????? or is it just another scripted, planned piece of not reality at all?
