Comments Off on AMERICAN IDOL: Phillip Phillips and Jessica Sanchez Discuss Their Performance Finale
With only a few hours to go until AMERICAN IDOL crowns a new champ, who do you think is going to take it all? Personally, I’m thrilled with the two finalists, because this is one of the rare seasons I like them both…normally I have very strong feelings one way or the other, which has led to some disappointing finale results. So whether Phillip Phillips or Jessica Sanchez is the one ultimately voted our AMERICAN IDOL, I think I’ll be okay with the results.
Last night after the performance finale, Phillips and Sanchez talked with reporters about the live show, what the judges had to say and more.
Take a look!

GLEE Season Finale: It’s Graduation Day on GLEE

[The following contains spoilers for the GLEE season finale. If you haven’t seen it you might want to stop reading now. You’ve been warned.]
You know it’s going to be a long night when the show is at the 15 second mark and I’m already reaching for the Kleenex.
I should warn you that this recap is being written within minutes of the episode ending and thus I’m operating from a place of tears, rainbows and the spirit animals of all gleeks – unicorns.
Perhaps there has been a stronger episode of GLEE since the pilot all those years ago, but in this very moment I can’t remember one. A show that sometimes struggles to do anything right pretty much nailed everything tonight. The right characters, relationships and storylines were given the time they needed to be explored and given there proper send-off. The music complimented and enhanced the storytelling. Even the very shocking twists made sense not only with regards to the story arc for certain characters, but in as much as they left the audience truly invested in how the repercussions will play out next season.
In some ways tonight’s episode felt more like a series finale than a season finale. In some ways I suppose it was. GLEE will of course be back for season 4 but the show will, for better or worse, not be the GLEE we have loved/hated/thrown things at/sang love songs too over the past few years. The specifics haven’t been revealed, but we do know that while some of GLEE will be focused on the remaining members of New Directions at McKinely High, the show will also follow the post-grad lives of the Class of 2012. To what extent we will see Quinn, Puck, Mike, Mercedes and even Finn, I’m not sure. They won’t all be in every episode, but I’d imagine we’ll check in with them from time to time. If nothing else, let’s not forget the amazing reunion number we’ll get at Mr. Schue’s upcoming nuptials.
To talk about the future plans of the seniors requires that we get some business out of the way.
In the interest of not burying the lede any more than I already have, let’s just jump in with both feet and talk about the more shocking moments of tonight’s episode. (Prepare yourself folks, I have a lot of feelings tonight and this keyboard is taking the brunt of it.)

A little over a year ago, FRINGE fans were delighted when it was confirmed that long-time guest star Seth Gabel (Lincoln/alt-Lincoln) had been bumped up to a full-time position on the series following Peter’s season-ending erasure from existence.
But will given Lincoln’s decision to go Over There — and with the bridge being closed to prevent the collapse of both universes — will Gabel be a series regular for the show’s fifth season?

While May is often filled with heartbreak over losing some of our favorite shows, something a bit different happened this year — sure, we still lost a handful of good shows, but a heck of a lot of our favorite bubble shows came back. HOUSE’s Omar Epps: ‘We made a hell of a show’

Comments Off on HOUSE’s Omar Epps: ‘We made a hell of a show’
Over the past eight seasons of HOUSE, many cast members have come and gone, but with the recent departure of Jesse Spencer (Chase), only three originals from the pilot will have really maintained their status on the show throughout the entire run: Hugh Laure (House), Robert Sean Leonard (Wilson), and Omar Epps (Foreman).
(While HOUSE creator David Shore told reporters on a recent conference call that Spencer will appear in the series finale in some capacity, he admitted that Spencer’s early departure came partially due to his casting in the pilot for NBC’s now-picked up CHICAGO FIRE: “He was asked to go do a pilot, and it happened right at a time where we were considering this storyline…And we didn’t want to throw it all into the final episode; it felt a little convenient to have everything happen in the final episode. And Jesse’s been with us since the beginning so we decided to give him his own little ending story, and I thought he was great.”)
As for Epps, his character has gone through massive changes over the seasons, going from being one of House’s original underlings to becoming the dean of medicine at Princeton-Plainsboro. I spoke with Epps at the series wrap party about his time on the series, what he thinks of where Foreman ended up and more…

SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE Says Goodbye to Kristen Wiig [Video]
May 20, 2012 by Kath Skerry
Filed under Saturday Night Live, SNL
Last night SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE said farewell to one of the most talented ladies to every be part of the show (and that’s saying a lot given its alumni). After seven years with the show, Kristen Wiig said goodbye to the late night sketch comedy show.
Her final moments were incredibly touching as she shared a small dance with each of the cast members as they all tearfully said their goodbyes. The full SNL ensemble, and many notable alums including Amy Poehler, Rachel Dratch and Chris Kattan joined host Mick Jaggar in a chorus of Ruby Tuesday as the credits started to roll.
I’m sure that I’m not the only one who was a crying mess last night.
If you missed Kristen Wiig’s goodbye, watch the extended version here.
So what’s next for Wiig? Building on the mega-success of “Bridesmaids”, Kristen is slated for a whole slew of movies coming out this year and 2013. Later this year Wiig will be seen in “Imogene” alongside Annette Bening and GLEE’s Darren Criss. Other upcoming co-stars include Ben Stiller, Sean Penn, Shirley MacLaine, Adam Scott, Paul Rudd, Robert DeNiro and countless others. Pretty sure Wiig isn’t going to be an SNL alum that quietly fades away. We can’t wait to see what she’s up to next.
Congratulations Kristen and thank you!
