THE FINDER Series Finale Recap: ‘The Boy with the Bucket’
May 12, 2012 by Sarah Curtis
Well, dang! When I’m thinking of watching a TV show again, for me it’s always “Do I want/need to know more?” And while this season of THE FINDER has been up and down for me, when the final scenes were occurring — starting at the moment where Walter emotionally said goodbye to his father and ending with the final black screen – I kept thinking, I want more.
As you probably know, THE FINDER has officially been cancelled by Fox (details on this and other Fox cancellations/renewals found here), so there won’t be any more knowing, which is a bummer. I have to say though, Fox, if you are reading this, running an ad for THE CHOICE a new reality show you have on the books, during the closing credits of a show you’ve just cancelled seems cruel. WTF? Enough of that, let’s discuss the episode.

FRINGE Season 4 Finale Recap: ‘Brave New World, Part 2’

It’s very weird to write about a FRINGE finale and not immediately have the urge to jump to talking about the ending that blew my mind. I get the reasoning of why the writers decided to go down this road (and I respect them for doing what felt natural for this arc and these characters), but I’m not going to lie and say a part of me didn’t miss bolting up from my couch and yelling at the TV as the season came to an end.
Well, heck, maybe I did jump ahead a little bit. Let’s start with the beginning of “Brave New World, Part 2″…

[Spoiler Alert: If you haven’t seen tonight’s episode of FRINGE, please stop reading and go watch it. Trust me. You won’t want to read this post until after you’ve viewed “Brave New World, Part 2” because it will spoil a very important aspect of the hour.]
ABC Reveals the Fate of BODY OF PROOF, PRIVATE PRACTICE & APT 23

Shows renewed. Shows canceled. New shows picked up. Once again we’re throwing some good news and bad news your way.
If you’re a fan of those West Coast based doctors of PRIVATE PRACTICE then today’s a good day, because ABC has just announced that the show will be returning for a sixth season. Declining ratings stemming from its move from Thursday to Tuesday had the show on the bubble, but the alphabet network decided to give it another shot.
PRIVATE PRACTICE creator, Shonda Rhimes, had a double punch of luck today as her new Washington-political thriller SCANDAL, starring Kerry Washington, also got the nod for next year.
The Dana Delany fronted BODY OF PROOF (which to be honest, I forgot was on the air) was also renewed for another season.
If you’re a ‘bitch’ then ABC has thrown a mixed bad your way.
THE B**** IN APARTMENT 23 will be back for a second season (yay, more of The Beek) but unfortunately, as we already reported, the good Christian B****** of GCB won’t be back next year.
ABC has already announced the renewals of the following scripted series: HAPPY ENDINGS, SUBURGATORY, REVEVNGE MODERN FAMILY, ONCE UPON A TIME, GREY’S ANATOMY, CASTLE and THE MIDDLE.
How are we feeling about the latest pickups and cancellations?
THE FINDER: Geoff and George Stults Talk About Playing Brothers — Again — On-Screen

As you may have seen yesterday, Fox canceled THE FINDER. The timing was bittersweet as tonight’s episode was set to be just the season finale.
I was on set when they filmed the hour and sat down to chat with THE FINDER star Geoff Stults (Walter) and his brother, George, who just happened to be guest-starring in the hour as Walter’s brother…
Report: ABC Cancels GCB

Well, heck. Now my SCANDAL high has diminished. Deadline is reporting GCB will not come back for a second season, which, quite frankly, is a shame. (ABC has not yet replied to our request for comment.)
While it’s not like there was a massive season-ending cliffhanger, I wanted to see more of those GCB’s. Legitimately bummed it apparently won’t be returning.

Good news for ABC’s SCANDAL — the show will return for a second season!
Personally? I’m SO EXCITED. This was one of the shows I was expecting to enjoy, but I am sucked in to this series, guys. Anyone else as thrilled as I am that it will return?

It’s a good news/bad news sort of day for CW viewers.
A CW spokesperson has confirmed that NIKITA has been renewed for a third season, while Josh Schwartz tweeted out GOSSIP GIRL will return for a final season and HART OF DIXIE has been renewed for season 2. (CW has not yet commented on the GG and HOD renewals.)
Less positive? Reportedly THE SECRET CIRCLE and RINGER have been canceled.
Which renewal are you most excited about? Which cancellation bums you out the most?

NBC Renews More Comedies Including PARKS & REC and UP ALL NIGHT!

At approximately 10:00pm last night I woke up from a dream that felt so real that it had to be premonition. Me, Drake and the T-Mobile girl were play baccarat on a private jet. The head of NBC walks up to me and he says, “Kath, tomorrow afternoon, I’m renewing Parks & Rec.” Then Blue Ivy Carter high-fived me and gave me $40 million dollars. It was all so real.
And real it is. PARKS & REC will be back on NBC next season and according to Vulture sources, the show has been picked up for a full 22 season. Can I get an ‘Amen!’ up in here?!
On the heels of the PARKS & REC pick-up, NBC will also be announcing the return of UP ALL NIGHT (looks like it’s going to be a good night in the Poehler/Arnett homestead) as well as WHITNEY (listen, they are bringing PARKS & REC and COMMUNITY back, I’m not going to give them any BS about WHITNEY.)
Join me in a happy dance, will you?
THE GLEE PROJECT Season 2 – ‘Edge of Glory’ Music Video

In just a few weeks we’re going to be saying goodbye to the McKinley High Seniors. With Rachel, Finn, Kurt, Santana, Quinn, Mercedes and Puck gone from the choir room, there are going to be quite a few empty seats. Will one of those seats be taken by the winner of season 2 of THE GLEE PROJECT? Perhaps.
We do know that the winner of THE GLEE PROJECT is guaranteed a multi-episode arc on the show, but there’s no promise that the victor will be a McKinley High kid. GLEE is re-launching itself next season as it follows some of its graduating seniors in their post-high school adventure so maybe the winner of the show will be Kurt’s new NYADA roommate or a new rival to Santana wherever she may land. Endless possibilities.
But what we do know is that at least one of the kids in the video below will be on GLEE next season in some capacity. Heck, all of them could be on the show. With four winners last year, I think anything is possible.
Check out the first official video from THE GLEE PROJECT Season 2 cast and let us know who YOU think would be the right fit for GLEE. (And make sure you watch all the way to the end for a cameo from the single best thing about THE GLEE PROJECT…Zach Woodlee!)
THE GLEE PROJECT premieres on June 5th at 10/9c on Oxygen.

There are only two episodes left of NIKITA’s second season and after viewing tonight’s hour, I can promise you that you’re in for quite the ride.
But you don’t want to just hear it from me, do you? NIKITA star Maggie Q met up with a group of reporters earlier this week and she talked about her thoughts about a potential season 3 and teased a bit of tonight’s “Crossbow”…
