FRINGE: Co-Showrunner Jeff Pinkner Departs

A bit of sad news as FRINGE heads towards its final season — multiple sources confirm that co-showrunner Jeff Pinkner has left the series. TVGuide.com was first to report the news.

While Pinkner has been a part of the show since the first season (he cowrote the series’ second episode), the final 13 episodes will still be in good hands: J.H. Wyman — who has been with FRINGE since its first year and co-showrunning the Fox drama with Pinkner since season 2 — will continue on as the sole showrunner.

And if you’re curious to see what season 5 may bring, don’t forget that the cast and producers of FRINGE will be appearing at Comic-Con in just a few weeks. (That’s Sunday, July 15th in Hall H to be exact. And yes, I will be doing my best to get as many answers out of them as possible.)

Arie decides to break the rules and risks sneaking out of the guys’ suite to see Emily, but what kind of reception will he get? A group date starts with a special sneak peek screening of the new Disney·Pixar film “Brave,” but the guys find out that they need to compete for Emily’s attention by dressing in kilts and performing in their own version of the Highland Games, just like in the movie.
