CASTLE Nabs Jack Coleman

Jack Coleman is coming to CASTLE.
An ABC rep has confirmed that the former HEROES star will debut in the upcoming season 5 premiere as a senator, and according to TVLine — who was first to report the casting news — Coleman’s character will have a few issues with Beckett.
Coleman has been fairly busy on television over the past few years. In addition to playing Angela’s husband/possible baby daddy on THE OFFICE, Coleman also played Caroline’s father on THE VAMPIRE DIARIES.
What are you hoping to see from Coleman on CASTLE? And are you hoping that if his character is gunning for Beckett that it might bring out the protective side in her new boyfriend?

For many people, the final FRINGE panel at Comic-Con was highly emotional, but for series star Jasika Nicole (Astrid), just how deep those feelings ran came as a bit of a surprise.
While she admitted she expected to be the emotional catalyst for the panelists — after she teared up on the panel, her costars Anna Torv (Olivia) and Lance Reddick (Broyles) soon followed — Nicole explained that she didn’t think about how hard it could get until people started telling her how they were feeling the day before the panel. According to Nicole, she realized, “‘Oh, crap, I am [feeling it], too. I’m just in denial because I don’t want to think about it yet.’ This is really a sad thing to end a chapter of your life in public like this.”
And the emotions didn’t stop at the panel.
Nicole got visibly moved while talking with reporters about the “White Tulips” display the fans organized, the resolution she wants for Astrid, saying goodbye to Seth Gabel’s Lincoln, plus what she hopes to have happen for Astrid in season 5.
Take a look at the following videos for her thoughts on those things and more…

Comments Off on GLEE: Lea Michele Teases Season 4
GLEE fans may have been shocked by the season 3 finale that had Rachel heading off to New York (and NYADA) sans Finn, but for her portrayer, the events weren’t entirely unexpected.
“I had an idea, but we really didn’t know until days before shooting,” Lea Michele (Rachel) told reporters at Comic-Con, mentioning that half of the cast didn’t even get the final pages of the script in order to preserve the secret.
And while she did have to keep much of what is to come in season 4 underwraps, she was willing to tease a little bit of what’s ahead for Rachel.

SUPERNATURAL star Jensen Ackles (Dean) has been a very busy man.
Not only did Ackles make the trip down to San Diego last weekend for Comic-Con (from Vancouver, where his series is currently back in production), but he did it while in the middle of directing his third episode of The CW series.
He sat down with reporters after SUPERNATURAL’s panel to reveal why he almost didn’t make it to the convention, what the episode he’s directing is about, Dean’s storyline in season 8, and more…

While I’m sure much has (and will) be said about the shows that got nominated and those that were snubbed, I wanted to share a couple of my quick thoughts about the good (HOMELAND!), the bad (so many snubs), and the baffling from this morning’s Emmy nominations…
