DARK MATTERS: TWISTED BUT TRUE: John Noble and Debbie Myers Talk About Their SCIENCE Channel Relationship

July 14, 2012 by

For fans who have been missing FRINGE (and counting down the days until its September 28th season premiere), there is a potential fix for that — the second season premiere of the John Noble-hosted SCIENCE series, DARK MATTERS: TWISTED BUT TRUE, debuts tonight!

“I love John Noble,” Debbie Myers, general manager of SCIENCE told me about her channel’s relationship with the FRINGE star. “I love him in everything I’ve seen him in. I [was] obsessed with FRINGE from the first episode — the whole SCIENCE team was. So when we were creating a show called DARK MATTERS, I thought ‘This needs some John Noble’ and that’s how it started. Honestly. It was like a hand in a glove. We had a great show, and it needed a presence to breathe some life into it and that was John. And then we got our dream, which is FRINGE is coming, too, to SCIENCE [in syndication, starting in November].”

For Noble, the decision to partner with SCIENCE felt natural, too.

“It wasn’t too hard [of a decision],” Noble said. “It seemed like the perfect fit. I got this call that said, ‘This is strange. Read this and see what you think.’ And I thought, ‘This is really fun, what is it?’ And it was SCIENCE Channel, it turned out. And then we moved really quickly, we just squeezed [the production of season 1 of DARK MATTERS] in before we started last season of FRINGE. This time, we had a little more time to do it. These guys are amazing, so it’s been a pleasure all the way down the line.”

DARK MATTERS returns to SCIENCE Channel tonight at 10 PM. And if you happen to be in San Diego for Comic-Con, FRINGE’s final panel will take place Sunday at 10 AM in Hall H.

When fans last saw BONES’ Booth, things weren’t looking so hot for the federal agent — Brennan had just run off with their daughter, Christine, in order to escape from Pelant’s manipulations.

At Comic-Con, David Boreanaz (Booth) sat down with reporters to talk about Booth being a man of action, what kind of episode he’d like to direct next, his future with the show, and more…

Comments Off on BONES’ Tamara Taylor Talks Finale Fallout: Cam is the One Thing in the Way of Pelant Getting Brennan

When BONES concluded its season, Brennan had taken off with baby Christine, leaving Booth and the rest of the Jeffersonian to prove her innocence in the case Pelant fabricated against her.

Since Tamara Taylor (Cam) won’t be at Comic-Con this year, when I sat down to talk with her about her involvement with IBG Inc’s recent charity reading, I also took a little time to discuss the fallout from Cam’s actions in the finale and what that means for season 8…

AWKWARD Recap: Three’s A Crowd

Comments Off on AWKWARD Recap: Three’s A Crowd

Hey, AWKWARD. fans! While the last episode dealt with secrets, this episode, “Three’s a Crowd” touched on another hot topic– bullying. But in true AWKWARD style, it was more snark and less after-school-special. Plus, Sadie was back, and her antics made me realize how much she was missed in episode two. I’m sure she’d say “You’re welcome”.

While Val, in her new Vice Principal role, tries to get the school on board with a mandatory anti-bullying campaign (including pinning Scarlet Bs on anyone caught bullying…or, you know…yelling, glaring or showing any anger whatsoever. Oh, Val…) and 5K run, Jenna is dealing with what she considers to be a more subtle form of bullying. Matty keeps tagging along on all of her dates with Jake, and even worse, he’s taken to possible sabotage—touching Jenna when possible, taking his shirt off when he can, etc.
