Wayne Brady Says TRUST US WITH YOUR LIFE ‘Wasn’t Canceled’

Fresh off reports that ABC has decided not to air the final episodes of the improv series TRUST US WITH YOUR LIFE, series star Wayne Brady wants one thing cleared up: the show hasn’t actually been canceled.

“It hasn’t been yanked,” Brady told me. “It wasn’t canceled. It was removed because they put it up against everything that could have possibly been huge to not help the show [in the ratings]. So it will be back out — and they will relaunch the whole thing — when there’s a hole [in the schedule]. So that’s much different than being canceled. So I actually say, good. TV and networks are so fond of often saying, ‘Ooh, sorry, done.’ ABC has not done that, so we’re very happy.”

As for his day job — as the host of the new LET’S MAKE A DEAL — Brady is content there, too.

“I don’t sit up at night and think about what could happen on LET’S MAKE A DEAL,” he said. “I’m busy doing everything else. I have a great time doing it. The only thing I ever hope is that we can get various guest stars to pop up and jump in the mix.”
