Comments Off on ARROW Books Former BATTLESTAR GALACTICA Star Tahmoh Penikett

Wait, did I already say that The CW’s upcoming series ARROW had filled their quota for sci-fi nerd cred? Yeah, they’ve massively surpassed it with this latest casting: Warner Bros. confirms that former BATTLESTAR GALACTICA star Tahmoh Penniket will appear in ARROW’s seventh episode.

According to Green Arrow TV, Penniket will play Tom Salvati, who is the second-in-command to mob boss Frank Bertinelli. Making things a little more complicated is that Bertinelli is the father of Helena Bertinelli…AKA The Huntress. (It’s a very tangled web.)

If you can’t wait until then to see Penniket back on your screens, you can also see him in CASTLE’s fifth season premiere on Monday, September 24th.

ARROW premieres Wednesday, October 10th at 8 PM on The CW. Will you be tuning in?

BONES Season Premiere Recap: ‘The Future in the Past’

September 17, 2012 by

Hey BONES fans! How did you like the S8 premiere, “The Future in the Past”? Show creator Hart Hanson kept up his informal tradition of making the season finale and subsequent season premiere a two-part episode, so to speak, and he did a nice job co-writing this one with co-executive producer Stephen Nathan. This episode wasn’t perfect by any means, but for the most part, the pacing, plot and characterization were good. So let’s discuss!

There’s a coaching shakeup heading to THE VOICE season 4 — NBC has announced that Usher and Shakira will sit in the infamous red chairs when the show returns next season as Christina Aguiler and CeeLo Green take a break. (Adam Levine and Blake Shelton will remain with the show.)

“We are thrilled to welcome Usher and Shakira to ‘The Voice.’ The addition of these popular iconic artists continues the tradition established by Christina, CeeLo, Adam and Blake,” said Robert Greenblatt, Chairman, NBC Entertainment in a statement. “Doing two back-to-back cycles of this show requires a tremendous amount of time, and we are happy to accommodate the commitments made by Christina and CeeLo. The participants on our show benefit from our coaches’ expertise and their continued success in the music business allows for significant new contributions to the contestants when they return.”

For BONES fans, Carla Kettner’s name is a familiar one — not only was she with the series since 2007, but she was also responsible many of the show’s most memorable episodes (“The Doctor in the Photo,” “The Goop on the Girl,” “The Hole in the Heart” are just a few of the hours she has to her name). But alas, all good things must come to an end, and Kettner departed the series after last year’s finale.

Luckily for television fans, Kettner hasn’t gone very far — she’s now on the new Fox drama, THE MOB DOCTOR. I sat down with Kettner to talk about her time on BONES, how she would have ended the Pelant arc, moving to THE MOB DOCTOR, and more…

Comments Off on THE MOB DOCTOR’s Zach Gilford Explains Why He Wants Brett to Find Out Grace’s Secret

Zach Gilford is no stranger to television (aside from starring roles in FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS and OFF THE MAP, he’s also had memorable guest spots on GREY’S ANATOMY and LAW & ORDER: SPECIAL VICTIMS UNIT), but to woo him to his latest series (Fox’s THE MOB DOCTOR), he joked they had to invoke the name of a certain popular former television star: “[The producers] say, ‘We want you to be George Clooney from ER’ and you say, ‘Of course! Of course I will do that.'”

All jokes aside, during our chat, we also talked about getting to film in Chicago, if he wants his character, Brett, to find out about his girlfriend’s double-life, and more…
