Comments Off on ARROW: Susanna Thompson Talks About Moira’s Complexities
As everyone in Oliver’s life adjusts to his return, his family dynamic changes a bit in tonight’s brand new episode of ARROW — Oliver’s mother, Moira, finally opens up to her daughter, Thea, after some prompting from her son.
“I think there’s a lot that goes on when one experiences death,” Susanna Thompson (Moira) told reporters on set recently. “And in Moira’s case…if there is a possibility of someone having damaged two of her family members, there’s more possibilities of that happening. And I think in whatever way we uncover Moira’s participation in any of this [conspiracy of what happened to Oliver] — I have no idea where they’re going to go with it — I don’t think she can have people close to her at this point. I think she’s grieving, and I also think she needed to protect people. And part of that protecting is keeping distance. But you will sort of feel this family connection as we continue and that will be revealed.”
And while so far, Moira has been (outwardly calm) about the secrets she’s keeping, Thompson teased it will be impacting her character soon.

SUBURGATORY has only been dancing around the potential of a George and Dallas pairing for a season, but tonight’s Halloween-themed episode has Dallas finally broaching the topic of them entering into a romantic relationship.
“Dallas finally decides the time is right and she puts it out there and she wants to see how George reacts,” SUBURGATORY creator Emily Kapnek told me. “And she does it in the context of wanting him to be in a couples costume with her.”
Unfortunately, George doesn’t quite understand what Dallas is really asking him.

He soon learns that the man, Deadshot, is taking out businessmen who are scheduled to bid at an auction on an energy company and Walter is one of the bidders. Realizing he can’t protect his family and stop Deadshot at the same time, Oliver enlists Detective Lance’s help, but his plan has dire consequences. Meanwhile, Laurel and Tommy get caught in an awkward situation with Oliver.
The Middle | 8pm on ABC

As Halloween approaches, the Hecks get quite the scare when Sue receives her learner’s permit, and it’s time for Frankie and Mike to teach her how to drive. Guys With Kids | 8:30pm on NBC
“Apartment Halloween”

The Neighbors | 8:30pm on ABC
“Halloween-ween”
Since arriving on Earth, the aliens – led by the Bird-Kersees – have viewed Halloween as a threat and have set up a barrier at the gates of Hidden Hills to prevent children dressed in costumes from entering the community. The Weavers, on the other hand, are excited about their first Halloween in the suburbs and want to open the gates of the community to celebrate. They do their best to explain the ritual of trick-or-treating to the aliens. Meanwhile, Marty and Debbie’s fears are realized when Amber, Max and Abby reject their family costume plans.

Comments Off on RAISING HOPE: Greg Garcia Teases the Return of Melanie Griffith and the Introduction of Wilmer Valderrama in ‘If a Ham Falls in the Woods’
In tonight’s brand new episode of RAISING HOPE, Sabrina’s mother, Tamara (played by Melanie Griffith) makes her return, and this time, she’s not alone.
“[Melanie Griffith] was a lot of fun,” RAISING HOPE creator Greg Garcia told me. “We’ve seen her [act] over the years in a lot of things, so it was fun having her on set. She was very nice. She did two episodes, and we also have Wilmer Valderrama (Ricardo) who is doing a few episodes. He’s a funny guy as well…The two of them go on the [couples] retreat along with Jimmy and Sabrina, and Virgina and Burt. They’re all going out in the woods for the [couples] retreat. The reverend who is hosting the retreat is the very funny Leslie Jordan who is quite a stand-out in this episode. I think people will enjoy him.”
But don’t expect for Sabrina to learn any new lessons from her mother and her mother’s latest boy toy.

FRINGE: J.H. Wyman Teases ‘The Bullet That Saved the World’

For someone who normally has an awful lot to say about a lot of things, I find myself at a loss on what to say about this Friday’s episode of FRINGE, “The Bullet That Saved the World.”
As much as I love doing “You Ask, I Answer” or teaser posts, this episode really does feel like it would be better without too much being ruined. So for now, I’ll leave you guys with this: a specific aspect of the hour feels like a love letter to long-time fans; I’m not sure Joshua Jackson (Peter) has ever been better; and damn, this show is going to be missed when it’s gone.
So with my blathering out of the way, how about some teases about what’s to come from FRINGE showrunner J.H. Wyman?

You’ve read my pleas on Twitter. You’ve listened to me beg on The TV Talk Podcast. Now it’s time to take action. Tonight you must (and I mean must) turn to ABC at 9/8c and watch HAPPY ENDINGS. This show is one of the brightest spots on my TV schedule and if you give it a shot, I know it will immediately be appointment TV for you, too. I’d offer you some kind of money back guarantee but we all know that’s not going to happen, so you’re just going to have to trust me on this one.
It’s going to be so ‘Ah-MAH’zing’ (sorry couldn’t resist) to have Jane, Brad, Dave, Alex, Penny and Max back on my TV. I had the chance to watch tonight’s season premiere as well as episode 2 of the new season and both are eps are laugh out loud funny. (Honestly, laugh out loud…with no one else watching with you, to be that’s the sign of some seriously funny stuff.)
At last week’s Season 3 premiere screening, GIVE ME MY REMOTE caught up with the some of the cast as well as Executive Producers Jonathan Groff and Josh Bycel, to talk about what’s new for this season of HAPPY ENDINGS. In addition to the totes wack ants (that would be totally wacky antics for those of you who don’t talk HAPPY ENDINGS*), this season romance will be explored in a new way and we get to see if and how it changes the finely balanced group dynamic.
