FRINGE: Joshua Jackson Teases ‘A Pretty Major Shift’ For Peter

In case the week off from FRINGE dulled your enthusiasm for the show’s final year, take note: this week’s episode is a pretty big hour.

“[FRINGE showrunner] Joel [Wyman] has talked — at least with us, I think also in the press — about treating this season as sort of a three-act show,” FRINGE star Joshua Jackson shared with reporters on set last month. “So [episodes] 1 through 4 are our first act. Then something big happens at the end of 4, which launches us into the second half or the second piece [of the story]…which takes one of our characters into a direction that people, I think, will probably be pretty excited about, but is not good for that character.”

And for Jackson, he’s finding that knowing where things are going has helped him try to navigate the show’s sometimes tricky path.

Another debate is causing a bit of chaos on our regularly scheduled lineup. But at least we have the 8 PM hour (and The CW) to keep us occupied.

Take a look at all of your options for tonight…

The Voice | 8pm on NBC
“The Battles Continue”
The “battle rounds” continue and the coaches enlist the help of the music industry’s top recording artists to offer their knowledge and skill as advisers. Christina Aguilera teams up with Billie Joe Armstrong, Adam Levine with Mary J. Blige, CeeLo Green with Rob Thomas, and Blake Shelton with Michael Buble. In this phase the coaches pit two of their own team members against each other in a dueling duet. After the vocal face-off, each coach must choose which artist from their team is the strongest and in a new twist, also has the option of stealing losing artists from an opposing coach. Each coach has two steals during the battle rounds where their artists will proceed to the new knockout rounds.

Dancing with the Stars | 8pm on ABC
“Episode 1505”
Four couples will dance to their selected ‘guilty pleasure’ song while the other four couples will perform their Freestyle Team Dance in the ballroom.

90210 | 8pm on The CW
“It’s All Fun and Games”
Silver has yet to schedule her insemination appointment, and worries that she’ll no longer be attractive after undergoing the preventive surgeries. Adrianna encourages Silver to treat herself to an irresponsible day of fun doing all the things that she won’t be able to do once she becomes a mother. Alec ignores Naomi’s gestures to make nice, so Naomi poses as a wealthy investor and lures him to her yacht for a phony business meeting. The two reach an agreement to get along, and Alec spontaneously kisses Naomi, which she rebuffs. Alec apologizes, but Naomi insists on telling Max, unaware that Alec had planted the kiss to blackmail her. Meanwhile, Annie thinks that Riley is too hard on Dixon, but Riley insists that Dixon needs to change his attitude in order to accelerate his recovery. Liam learns that his video game contract can’t be finalized without Vanessa’s approval, so Annie encourages him to speak with her attorney, Lindsey Beckwith. Liam worries when a detective shows up asking questions about Vanessa’s whereabouts.

Alphas | 8pm on Syfy
“God’s Eye”
Dani starts having hallucinations about his daughter; Rosen seeks a final confrontation with Alpha leader Stanton Parish.

Switched at Birth | 8pm on ABC Family
“Street Noises Invade the House”
The Kennish and Vasquez families are starting to fall apart. Daphne and Jeff’s relationship is exposed, causing them major problems. Bay and Zarra take off without telling anyone. Meanwhile, the trial reaches a shocking conclusion.

So much more. Keep reading…
