For most FRIENDS viewers, odds are you can point to at least one aspect of the show you’ve integrated into your life: a quote, a philosophy, a mannerism, a style, etc. (Personally? It’s eight-plus years since the show went off the air and not only do I watch reruns every day — yes, I’m aware I have a slight addiction to the show — but I also quote it all the time. Apologies if you’re subjected to that on Twitter.) And when FRIENDS: The Complete Series comes out on Blu-Ray a week from today, one of the brand new documentaries on it will examine the impact the comedy had our culture as a large.
Intrigued? We have an exclusive first look at “The Cultural Influence of FRIENDS,” which includes, of course, “The Rachel”…

Ever wonder what kind of parents could have spawned BEN AND KATE’s BJ? It seems like we’re about to find out: Fox has confirmed that Jane Seymour will guest star on an upcoming episode as BJ’s mother, Wendy.
According to TVLine — who was first to report the news — BJ’s mother is a “sexy, middle-class Brit with plenty of affectations and bourgeois attitudes, will discover that her daughter is keeping some secrets from her.”
Also in that episode? IT’S ALWAYS SUNNY IN PHILADELPHIA/HOW TO BE A GENTLEMAN star David Hornsby will be guest starring as an old pal of Ben’s…who got rich off an idea Ben sold him. Uh oh…
BEN AND KATE airs Tuesdays at 8:30 PM on Fox.

ELEMENTARY is getting a major vote of confidence from CBS — in addition to the series already receiving a full-season order, the network has given the modern-day adaptation of Sherlock Holmes the coveted post-Super Bowl slot.
In case you haven’t been keeping up, here’s CBS’ description of the show: “ELEMENTARY stars Jonny Lee Miller as eccentric, mischievous detective Sherlock Holmes and Lucy Liu as Dr. Joan Watson, a former surgeon turned sober companion. Following his fall from grace in London and a stint in rehab, Sherlock escapes to Manhattan where his wealthy father forces him to live with his worst nightmare – a sobriety coach. Now running free in New York solving crimes, it’s simple deduction that he’s going to need someone to keep him grounded, and it’s elementary that it’s a job for Watson.”
Are you excited for ELEMENTARY to get the post-Super Bowl spot?

CASTLE: Director Jonathan Frakes on his ‘The Final Frontier’ Cameo, a ‘Priceless’ Castle/Beckett Moment, and More

CASTLE has never been shy about embracing its nerdy roots, and this Monday’s episode, “The Final Frontier,” boldly goes where the show hasn’t gone before — to a science-fiction convention.
To helm the hour, CASTLE enlisted a director with a good amount of sci-fi cred: Jonathan Frakes, whom many know as STAR TREK: THE NEXT GENERATION’s Riker. (Frakes also directed the season 2 episode “Kill the Messenger.”)
I spoke with Frakes about directing “The Final Frontier,” making a cameo in the hour, the challenges they faced, and more…

Back when Peter Bishop was wiped from existence at the end of FRINGE season 3, some fans (including LOST co-creator Damon Lindelof) believed the way he’d be worked back into the show would be by him becoming an Observer. Heck, Joshua Jackson (Peter) even came out at that year’s Comic-Con panel dressed in full Observer gear. (Though, he lamented not being able to shave his head for the occasion.)

There have been no shortage of LOST homages on ONCE UPON A TIME, and in this Sunday’s brand new episode, the ABC series is bringing on LOST fan favorite Jorge Garcia in a key role: he’s the giant at the top of the beanstalk!
To celebrate the occasion, I spoke with Garcia about reuniting with OUAT co-creators Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis, working with green screens, what cast member he wants to work with, and more…
