FRINGE: John Noble Teases ‘Black Blotter’

In FRINGE’s second, third, and fourth season, episode 19 marked an hour that was “a little off the beaten path.” I mean, how else could the show do a musical noir, animated installment, or an episode that jumped more than two decades into the future? Sadly, since the fifth and final season of FRINGE will only consist of 13 episodes, the series won’t reach that annual tradition…but executive producer J.H. Wyman did tease that this week’s episode is what comes the closest.
When I spoke with FRINGE star John Noble (Walter) at the Fox show’s 100th episode/series finale event, he teased a little bit about what you can expect from “Black Blotter”…
LEVERAGE: Aldis Hodge Teases ‘The Corkscrew Job’

With only three episodes left of LEVERAGE (and potentially having the end of the series around the corner), it’s time to appreciate what the team is up to.
“The team infiltrates a vineyard, taking on this crooked guy,” LEVERAGE star Aldis Hodge (Hardison) teased of tonight’s installment. “Tonight, you’ll get to see us go full force and have fun like we always do. Hardison gets into a little bit of a scuffle. He may get his knuckles roughed a little bit. That episode, we just had a great time doing it. I think for all the wine aficionados out there, you’re going to love the scenery, because we shot at this amazing vineyard. Oregon is a beautiful place to go wine-tasting; that’s where I got my education on wine. I will say, it was probably the best set we’ve had in all five seasons.”
While Hodge teased a bit about the episode, the point that stood out to me was…Hardison fighting?! And Hodge told me it’s not like his character has any assistance from anyone else.
RAISING HOPE: Greg Garcia Teases ‘The Last Christmas’

RAISING HOPE hasn’t shied away from doing outrageous holiday episodes, and tonight’s Christmas installment seems like it will join the ranks of that infamy.
“I wrote and directed that one,” RAISING HOPE creator Greg Garcia said of tonight’s episode. “It was a fun episode. I enjoyed it very much. We find out that Martha [Plimpton]’s character [Virginia] has been planning over the last two to three years for the end of the world, which she thinks is going to be on December 21st — based on the Mayan calendar.”

HOMELAND Season 2 Finale Photo Preview

Guys, I’m a little terrified to watch the HOMELAND season finale. Okay, terrified is probably underselling it. I’m not entirely sure how I’m going to make it to Sunday/how I’ll survive actually watching the episode.
And for some reason, the relatively calm promo photos for the final hour of season 2 are doing nothing to soothe me. Intrigue me? Sure. But I feel like those will be the only calm moments of the finale. So I’m a bit scared.

LEVERAGE: Dean Devlin on the Show’s Uncertain Fate
December 10, 2012 by Marisa Roffman
There are only three episodes left of LEVERAGE this season, but there’s a slightly bittersweet twist — because TNT has yet to make a decision about whether the show will return for a sixth season, these could be the final episodes of the series, too.
And with that uncertainty in play, the creative team behind the show decided to not take any chances: the final episode of the year, “The Long Good-bye Job,” is actually how they’ve always intended to end the series.
I spoke with executive producer Dean Devlin about choosing to air their series finale now, what fans can expect from these final episodes, if there might be life for these stories beyond the television series, and more…

FRINGE Recap: ‘The Human Kind’
December 8, 2012 by Marisa Roffman
Despite some of the FRINGE episode titles being super literal this season, I was a little afraid to get too attached to tonight’s title. (“The Human Kind,” in case you missed this post’s headline or any of the other posts I wrote about the show this week.) Was it about Peter’s rapidly deteriorating humanity? Olivia’s fight to save him? Something else entirely?
This episode was an important one. Several times over the past couple of months, Joshua Jackson (Peter) pointed to his character needing to be at a certain place by episode 4 (when Etta died), and then mentioned episode 8, and then the finale. And after watching tonight’s hour, it’s pretty clear why it stuck out in his mind.
