CASTLE will once again host a FIREFLY reunion — ABC has confirmed that SUITS star Gina Torres will guest star on an upcoming episode of the ABC dramedy, reuniting with her former FIREFLY costar Nathan Fillion (who, obviously, plays the titular Castle).
According to TVLine (who was first to report the casting), Torres will play Samantha Foster, a fashion mogul who appears on a REAL HOUSEWIVES-like reality series. She’s set to appear in the season’s 14th episode, “Reality Star Struck.”
As for Torres, she’s kept quite busy while on her SUITS hiatus: in addition to her guest spot on CASTLE, she’s also appearing alongside Laurence Fishburne (her real-life husband) in the NBC series HANNIBAL.
Are you excited for this FIREFLY reunion on CASTLE? If so, who are you hoping the show gets next?

GLEE is adding to their cast: Fox has confirmed that Oliver Kieran-Jones will guest-star on the musical series.
According to Deadline (who was first to report the casting), Kieran-Jones will be playing the head of the glee club at NYADA and he’ll be crossing paths with (new student!) Kurt.
Are you intrigued what a glee club at NYADA might mean for the show? Or are you just hoping he refrains from becoming romantically involved with Kurt?
GLEE airs Thursday at 9 PM on Fox.

FRINGE: Jill Scott Teases Her Guest Spot in ‘The Human Kind’

Comments Off on FRINGE: Jill Scott Teases Her Guest Spot in ‘The Human Kind’
In FRINGE’s final season, the big guest stars have (so far) been kept to a minimum. But the one exception comes in tonight’s episode, “The Human Kind,” when singer/actress Jill Scott makes a special appearance.
“She’s a quiet warrior and she’s sort of an oracle of someone who can foresee the future,” Scott told reporters about her character, Simone. “There is an integral part of Olivia’s quest, and Simone has direct knowledge of that — although I won’t say knowledge, she has an intuition about how to help her on her quest…Simone is an emoter. She’s a quiet, strong-willed, focused in a sense maybe even a freedom fighter. She’s a big part of the resistance…She works and she’s a hustler, too. She makes ways to finance her community.”
And while FRINGE showrunner J.H. Wyman had told me that Scott was a big fan of the show prior to her guest spot, it seems he may have actually downplayed a bit of how obsessed she is.

As FRINGE winds down, one of the most complex relationships the series has been nurturing — the father-son dynamic between Walter and Peter — is on shaky ground: as Peter continues to morph into an Observer, Walter is blissfully unaware, still depending on his son to be his saving grace.
So what will Walter do when he finds out the truth? I spoke with FRINGE star John Noble (Walter) to see what’s to come for our Bishop boys, and why the finale will keep you on the edge of your set…

For as emotionally charged as the first seven episodes of FRINGE’s final season have been, it certainly seems like the ride isn’t going to get smoother any time soon.
“I always said I wanted everybody to go through this journey with the characters at ground level,” FRINGE showrunner J.H. Wyman told me when I asked him for a tease about the final six hours of the series. “And feel what they feel and go through what they feel. And that’s what I’m going to do.”

FRINGE’s Anna Torv: Now That She Knows the Truth, Olivia’s Going to Have to Buck Up
December 5, 2012 by Marisa Roffman
FRINGE’s Olivia Dunham has gone through quite the ride this season: after initially being reunited with her (now-grown) daughter, Etta, and estranged husband, Peter, things turned tragic when Etta was gunned down. And while Olivia reached out to Peter so the duo wouldn’t let their daughter’s demise separate them (again), what she didn’t know what he had taken the drastic step of implanting Observer tech in an effort to beat the people responsible for Etta’s death.
But with Peter rapidly losing his humanity, he (inadvertently?) clued Olivia into what he did and what he was up to after she stumbled upon his wall of crazy. And now Olivia will have to figure out where to go from here.
So what’s a woman to do?
I spoke with FRINGE star Anna Torv (Olivia) at an event for the show’s 100th episode/finale, and she teased a bit of Olivia’s mindset going forward in these final hours…
ARROW: Stephen Amell and Katie Cassidy Tease ‘Vendetta’

Comments Off on ARROW: Stephen Amell and Katie Cassidy Tease ‘Vendetta’
There’s a brand new episode of ARROW tonight, and unsurprisingly, it seems to be another promising hour.
“It’s a really cool episode,” ARROW star Stephen Amell (Oliver/Arrow) told a small group of reporters on set last week. “It looks like a movie. Our director, Ken Fink, [had it so] there were cameras in low levels, and it’s like nothing that we’ve had so far on the show, visually. And the thing that I like about our show is that we get right into it.”
As for the content of the episode, Amell teased that “Vendetta” would pick up shortly after where last week’s hour left off. (AKA when Helena and Oliver were getting, um, friendly.)
