Comments Off on ARROW: David Ramsey Previews Oliver’s Brush with the Law

As if Oliver Queen hasn’t had enough problems in his life recently, in tonight’s episode, he is dealt another blow: an arrest for murder.

For Oliver’s bodyguard/companion, Diggle, he’s left scrambling after his boss gets in trouble.

“My [character’s] reaction to that at first is, ‘How do we handle this?'” David Ramsey (Diggle) told me of his character’s reaction to the arrest. “‘What we need to do is clear your name as quickly as possible.'”

But his concern isn’t exactly shared by Oliver.

Comments Off on SUBURGATORY: Jane Levy Previews ‘Foam Finger,’ Tessa and Ryan’s Budding Romance, and More

A rift is coming on tonight’s episode SUBURGATORY…but probably not the one you might be expecting.

“Dalia gets a little involved with her new stepmother and sort of abandons the KKK,” Jane Levy (Tessa) teased. “And I find the KKK completely lost without their leader, and I figure that Lisa would be a good person to take them under their wing, so I hand them over to Lisa and she has a grand old time….[Tessa] is sort of standing back and watching [it all go down]. I think she’s a little horrified. What it really comes down to is she wants to make sure Dalia is okay.”

Of course, the Dalia and Tessa relationship is now more complex thanks to their parents’ new coupling.

I don’t want to jinx it, but I think we have a relatively normal night of television tonight. The only big exception seems to be a displaced episode of THE VOICE, but we have a full night of TV ahead!

Take a look at all your options…

Arrow | 8pm on The CW
“Damaged”
After Detective Lance arrests Oliver for murder, Oliver tells Moira the only lawyer he’ll allow to represent him is Laurel. Laurel takes the case which puts her at odds with her father. Oliver offers to take a polygraph in front Detective Lance but things get tense when Lance asks him if anyone else was on the island with him. Oliver flashes back to when he got his first scar, courtesy of Deathstroke.

The Middle | 8pm on ABC
“The Safe”
Frankie is made an example of in front of the entire class when she doesn’t make a good impression on her first day of dental assisting school with no-nonsense teacher Mrs. Armwood. Meanwhile, because Axl’s broken foot may end any chance of his receiving a college sports scholarship, Frankie and Mike insist that he up his grades and get himself a tutor; and Sue and Brick think they’ve stumbled upon an expensive item inside an old safe and try to get big bucks for it from a local pawn store employee.

The Voice | 8pm on NBC | Special Night
“The Live Playoffs, Part 2”
The top 20 artists perform live in front of coaches Christina Aguilera, Adam Levine, CeeLo Green and Blake Shelton for America’s vote.

The X Factor | 8pm on Fox
“Top Finalists Perform – LIVE”
The finalists from each of the four categories – Teens, Young Adults, Groups and Over 25s – perform live for the first time for their chance to win a $5 million recording contract with Syco/Sony Music. After the performances, it’s up to America to vote to keep their favorite acts safe in the competition. Tune in to see who will mark their spot on stage and who will fall flat.

The Neighbors | 8:30pm on ABC
“50 Shades of Green”
Marty and Debbie find out all the facts of alien love when Zabvronian mating season coincides with their wedding anniversary. Debbie longs for a little more romance in her marriage after she learns about the more cerebral Zabvronian way, while Jackie Joyner-Kersee is fascinated by humans’ more physical approach. Meanwhile, a handsome jock invites Amber to a make-out party and she decides to go, with Reggie Jackson tagging along.

FRINGE: John Noble on ‘Through the Looking Glass and What Walter Found There,’ (Possible) Helpful Observers and the Characters’ Grief

November 6, 2012 by

This Friday’s new episode of FRINGE may be partially named for John Noble’s Walter (“Through the Looking Glass and What Walter Found There”…AKA the longest title in FRINGE’s history thus far), but when he talked with reporters on set for the filming the of hour, he was incredibly vague about what actually goes down. Noble was equally vague (but incredibly hilarious) when I questioned whether the team might find assistance in another September-like Observer.

However, Noble was a little more willing to talk about what grief does to the characters we know and love in the fallout from Etta’s death. And as viewers have seen, Peter’s anger and focus has led him down a dark path already.

Take a look at what Noble had to say about FRINGE!

FRIENDS on Blu-Ray: Exclusive First Look at ‘The Cultural Influence of FRIENDS’

For most FRIENDS viewers, odds are you can point to at least one aspect of the show you’ve integrated into your life: a quote, a philosophy, a mannerism, a style, etc. (Personally? It’s eight-plus years since the show went off the air and not only do I watch reruns every day — yes, I’m aware I have a slight addiction to the show — but I also quote it all the time. Apologies if you’re subjected to that on Twitter.) And when FRIENDS: The Complete Series comes out on Blu-Ray a week from today, one of the brand new documentaries on it will examine the impact the comedy had our culture as a large.

Intrigued? We have an exclusive first look at “The Cultural Influence of FRIENDS,” which includes, of course, “The Rachel”…
