Fox is planning a deliciously creepy way to celebrate Halloween with THE FOLLOWING — the best new show of the 2012-2013 — and fans from all over the country can participate.

In various cities (exact locations are listed below) “followers” of the fictional serial killer/cult leader Joe Carroll can be found with THE FOLLOWING-themed writing on their body (“even serial killers have friends,” etc.) and handing out holographic bookmarks (photos are after the jump). Potential viewers can then check out the site www.wearethefollowing.com.

SUBURGATORY: Ana Gasteyer Teases the Halloween Episode and Reuniting with Rachel Dratch

Comments Off on SUBURGATORY: Ana Gasteyer Teases the Halloween Episode and Reuniting with Rachel Dratch

While tonight’s brand new episode of SUBURGATORY is important for a certain on-screen relationship, it’s also a pretty big episode for star Ana Gasteyer (Sheila) — not only does Gasteyer get to reunite with her SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE co-star Rachel Dratch (Paula), but Gasteyer’s real-life daughter, Frances Mary McKittrick, makes her acting debut as a young version of Sheila.

“There are flashbacks to Rachel’s character and mine, and it was her first acting job,” Gasteyer told reporters on set. “It was so cute. It was crazy. I was freaking out. I had mentioned to [SUBURGATORY creator] Emily [Kapnek] if there was an extra part, [Frances] wants to learn acting and on-camera acting and she emailed to say, ‘Do you think she’d want to play this part?’ And we actually had a table read [on Frances’ first day], so I wasn’t around for the first part of her first scene. She did great.”

Gasteyer was equally as enthused about reuniting with Dratch, calling the idea “so great, so fun.”

ARROW: Susanna Thompson Talks About Moira’s Complexities

Comments Off on ARROW: Susanna Thompson Talks About Moira’s Complexities

As everyone in Oliver’s life adjusts to his return, his family dynamic changes a bit in tonight’s brand new episode of ARROW — Oliver’s mother, Moira, finally opens up to her daughter, Thea, after some prompting from her son.

“I think there’s a lot that goes on when one experiences death,” Susanna Thompson (Moira) told reporters on set recently. “And in Moira’s case…if there is a possibility of someone having damaged two of her family members, there’s more possibilities of that happening. And I think in whatever way we uncover Moira’s participation in any of this [conspiracy of what happened to Oliver] — I have no idea where they’re going to go with it — I don’t think she can have people close to her at this point. I think she’s grieving, and I also think she needed to protect people. And part of that protecting is keeping distance. But you will sort of feel this family connection as we continue and that will be revealed.”

And while so far, Moira has been (outwardly calm) about the secrets she’s keeping, Thompson teased it will be impacting her character soon.

Comments Off on SUBURGATORY: Emily Kapnek Teases the Start of Dallas and George’s Romance

SUBURGATORY has only been dancing around the potential of a George and Dallas pairing for a season, but tonight’s Halloween-themed episode has Dallas finally broaching the topic of them entering into a romantic relationship.

“Dallas finally decides the time is right and she puts it out there and she wants to see how George reacts,” SUBURGATORY creator Emily Kapnek told me. “And she does it in the context of wanting him to be in a couples costume with her.”

Unfortunately, George doesn’t quite understand what Dallas is really asking him.

The World Series kicks off tonight, so if baseball is your thing, you’ll have to juggle that with a very full night of television!

Take a look at all your options…

Arrow | 8pm on The CW
“Lone Gunmen”
Oliver is surprised when someone shoots and kills one of his targets. As his plan is to bring people to justice vs. outright killing them, Oliver doesn’t appreciate the help and searches for the gunman. He soon learns that the man, Deadshot, is taking out businessmen who are scheduled to bid at an auction on an energy company and Walter is one of the bidders. Realizing he can’t protect his family and stop Deadshot at the same time, Oliver enlists Detective Lance’s help, but his plan has dire consequences. Meanwhile, Laurel and Tommy get caught in an awkward situation with Oliver.

The Middle | 8pm on ABC
“Halloween III: The Driving”
As Halloween approaches, the Hecks get quite the scare when Sue receives her learner’s permit, and it’s time for Frankie and Mike to teach her how to drive. But when a freaked-out Sue loses her nerve, she ends up running over Axl’s foot, which could put an end to his high school football career and his hopes for a scholarship. Meanwhile Axl looks forward to voting in his first election, and Brick undergoes an unexpected transformation when he eats too much Halloween candy.

Animal Practice | 8pm on NBC
“The Two George Colemans”
George begins to feel threatened with Jill’s strong new presence at the hospital. Annoyed by this increasing competition, George attempts to sabotage one of Jill’s operations. Meanwhile, Dorothy takes on judging Crane Animal Hospital’s Halloween pet costume contest and struggles with the temptation to take a bribe.

Guys With Kids | 8:30pm on NBC
“Apartment Halloween”
When the President of their co-op board Miss Crane passes away, domineering resident Lydia Allendinger takes her place, much to the guy’s chagrin. Utilizing her new found power, Lydia forbids Nick’s annual Halloween hallway decorations, which leads Nick to take some drastic measures. Elsewhere, Gary and Marny desperately want to buy Miss Crane’s old apartment to expand their living space and conspire to scare off any potential buyers.

The Neighbors | 8:30pm on ABC
“Halloween-ween”
Since arriving on Earth, the aliens – led by the Bird-Kersees – have viewed Halloween as a threat and have set up a barrier at the gates of Hidden Hills to prevent children dressed in costumes from entering the community. The Weavers, on the other hand, are excited about their first Halloween in the suburbs and want to open the gates of the community to celebrate. They do their best to explain the ritual of trick-or-treating to the aliens. Meanwhile, Marty and Debbie’s fears are realized when Amber, Max and Abby reject their family costume plans.

Comments Off on RAISING HOPE: Greg Garcia Teases the Return of Melanie Griffith and the Introduction of Wilmer Valderrama in ‘If a Ham Falls in the Woods’

In tonight’s brand new episode of RAISING HOPE, Sabrina’s mother, Tamara (played by Melanie Griffith) makes her return, and this time, she’s not alone.

“[Melanie Griffith] was a lot of fun,” RAISING HOPE creator Greg Garcia told me. “We’ve seen her [act] over the years in a lot of things, so it was fun having her on set. She was very nice. She did two episodes, and we also have Wilmer Valderrama (Ricardo) who is doing a few episodes. He’s a funny guy as well…The two of them go on the [couples] retreat along with Jimmy and Sabrina, and Virgina and Burt. They’re all going out in the woods for the [couples] retreat. The reverend who is hosting the retreat is the very funny Leslie Jordan who is quite a stand-out in this episode. I think people will enjoy him.”

But don’t expect for Sabrina to learn any new lessons from her mother and her mother’s latest boy toy.

FRINGE: J.H. Wyman Teases ‘The Bullet That Saved the World’

October 23, 2012 by

For someone who normally has an awful lot to say about a lot of things, I find myself at a loss on what to say about this Friday’s episode of FRINGE, “The Bullet That Saved the World.”

As much as I love doing “You Ask, I Answer” or teaser posts, this episode really does feel like it would be better without too much being ruined. So for now, I’ll leave you guys with this: a specific aspect of the hour feels like a love letter to long-time fans; I’m not sure Joshua Jackson (Peter) has ever been better; and damn, this show is going to be missed when it’s gone.

So with my blathering out of the way, how about some teases about what’s to come from FRINGE showrunner J.H. Wyman?
