ABC Orders Additional Episodes of MODERN FAMILY, CASTLE, GREY’S ANATOMY, and THE MIDDLE

ABC may be losing PRIVATE PRACTICE, but the network has ordered up several additional episodes from its exisiting hits.

Reps for MODERN FAMILY, GREY’S ANATOMY, and THE MIDDLE confirm the Deadline report that two additional episodes have been ordered for each show. Deadline is also reporting that an additional hour has been ordered of CASTLE.

Fox Orders Two More Episodes of THE MINDY PROJECT

If you were bummed out that THE MINDY PROJECT is the only Fox comedy being preempted this upcoming Tuesday, perhaps this news will cheer you up: the network has confirmed that an additional two episodes of the series have been ordered, bringing the first season order to 24 installments. Deadline was the first to report the news.

RAISING HOPE Boss Greg Garcia: A Wedding for Jimmy and Sabrina is ‘Definitely on the Horizon’

With Jimmy and Sabrina’s relationship showing no sign of slowing down on RAISING HOPE, the looming question is now when they’re going to tie the knot.

“We’ve been talking about a wedding and when to do it.,” RAISING HOPE creator Greg Garcia told me. “But it’s definitely on the horizon.”

“There’s a lot of pressure on a wedding episode, you know?” he added. “We do have an idea for a wedding episode we’re working on now that could be a lot of fun, both in the stuff that happens in the wedding and the style in which we shoot it. We have a bit of a gimmick we might do that makes me laugh, so look out for that.”

Fox Changes Schedule for October 23rd: X FACTOR, RAISING HOPE, BEN AND KATE, and NEW GIRL to All Air

Fox has changed their lineup for Tuesday, October 23rd again.

Originally, the comedy block (RAISING HOPE, BEN AND KATE, NEW GIRL, and THE MINDY PROJECT) were set to air there as normal. Then MLB’s rain delay screwed up Wednesday’s THE X FACTOR show, and the two-hour episode was set to air in the comedy series’ place. But now, Fox will air RAISING HOPE, BEN AND KATE, and NEW GIRL in their normal spots, and then air an edited one-hour version of THE X FACTOR episode that was skipped from 9:30-10:30 PM.

Are you OK with this revised schedule? Or do you wish Fox had just pre-empted the night completely and left THE X FACTOR in its original two-hour episode?

COMMUNITY is Back on October 19th…But Not Really. Cue Troy & Abed!

October 19th. It’s not just a date…it’s a state of mind.

Today was supposed to be the fourth season premiere of NBC’s COMMUNITY. Unfortunately, NBC pulled the show from the schedule and hasn’t yet announced a new premiere date. The show has not been cancelled, but NBC still hasn’t found a home for it yet. Speculation remains that the network is waiting for one of their other new shows to fail at which time they can back fill that time slot with new episode of COMMUNITY. (And one wonders why NBC has struggled so mightily over the past few years.)

So we might not be getting a new episode of COMMUNITY tonight, but we did get a new episode of “Troy and Abed in the Morning”. Let these two dazzling hosts explain that October 19th might not be October 19th, but at the end of the day, it’s October 19th.

Alex reprises her alter ego, the spoiled Russian princess Alexandra Udinov, in a very unique way as part of the plan to spring Michael. Meanwhile, Birkhoff struggles to maintain a working relationship with Sonya, despite his growing attraction to her.
