NBC Delays the Return of COMMUNITY and WHITNEY

The Friday television landscape is going to be a little less crowded than anticipated — sources confirm that COMMUNITY and WHITNEY will not have their season premieres on Friday, October 19th as originally planned. GRIMM reruns will take their place for the foreseeable future.
Vulture was first to report that the NBC comedies wouldn’t bow as scheduled, and also has a statement from NBC about their reasons behind the delay: “Given the success we’ve had for the past four weeks – including winning the first week of the season in A18-49 – we’ve decided to continue to concentrate our promotional strength on our new NBC shows that are scheduled Monday through Wednesday and have therefore decided to hold Community and Whitney from their previously announced premieres of October 19th. Without having to launch these comedies on Friday at this time, we can keep our promotion focused on earlier in the week — plus we will have both comedies in our back pocket if we need to make any schedule changes on those nights. When we have a better idea of viewing patterns in the next few weeks, we will announce new season premieres of Whitney and Community.”
Are you OK with COMMUNITY and WHITNEY being pushed back?

Comments Off on CASTLE: ‘Probable Cause’ Photo Preview — Castle’s In Trouble!
When I first talked with CASTLE creator Andrew Marlowe about “Probable Cause” (which was initially set to be episode six and is now the fifth episode airing), the words he used most to describe it were “difficult” and “troubling.”
“That’s a difficult one, that’s a troubling one,” Marlowe told me at the time. (Marlowe also wrote the episode.) “It’s always troubling when you’re in the midst of a very difficult investigation, a very startling body find, and all the evidence starts pointing towards someone you know.”
And now, we have some pictures of what that might look like. Take a look!

In this phase the coaches pit two of their own team members against each other in a dueling duet. ONCE UPON A TIME: Adam Horowitz Teases Barbara Hershey’s Return

Comments Off on ONCE UPON A TIME: Adam Horowitz Teases Barbara Hershey’s Return
ONCE UPON A TIME’s Regina may be determined to find a way to find Emma and Snow (in order to please her adopted son, Henry), but given how many enemies she’s made over the years, it’s not likely many people will be jumping to assist her in whatever she tries. So can the woman also known as the Evil Queen ever win over the townspeople whose lives she made so miserable?
“That’s a great question,” ONCE UPON A TIME co-creator Adam Horowitz teased when I posed that query to him. “Regina may do horrible, evil things, but she’s still a person, who at her core wants love. And how she balances that need with her other impulses — in many ways, she feels wronged, and in many ways, she’s justified with feeling wrong, but in many ways she’s handled it poorly.”
And without question, some of the greatest issues viewers have been privy to stem from her complex relationship with her mother, Cora.

ONCE UPON A TIME: Lana Parrilla Teases Regina’s Honesty, Flashbacks and More
October 6, 2012 by Marisa Roffman
Filed under #1 featured, Once Upon A Time
Things just aren’t going Regina’s way on ONCE UPON A TIME.
Not only are all the newly-aware townspeople of Storybrooke still pretty annoyed with their mayor/Evil Queen, but she just narrowly escaped a Wraith that Rumple sent to steal her soul. Unfortunately, in the process, Emma and Snow got zapped to an unknown location, leaving Regina’s adopted son, Henry, to request she do everything in her power to bring back his biological mother and grandmother.
But how far will she actually go to live up to her word to Henry?
“Very far,” Lana Parrilla (Regina/Evil Queen) teased. “It’s not easy for someone to get honest with themselves about who they are and what they’ve done. And what we see with Regina in the first handful of episodes in the second season is her taking responsibility for things. She’s on the road to redemption. She really wants to understand why she’s done certain things and the reasons behind it and the choices that she’s made. She has to look at herself in the mirror in a very different way than she did in the first season…getting honest with not just herself, but with everyone else.”

THE VOICE Battle Round Preview: Is the Amanda vs. Trevin Duet the Best Battle Ever?
October 5, 2012 by Marisa Roffman
Filed under #1 featured, The Voice
For me, I’ve found the battle rounds on THE VOICE to be the most problematic phase of the show in the past. If both contestants are great, you’re saying goodbye to a talented singer who deserves to be there. If it’s completely one-sided, it’s awkward. If both contestants are terrible, then I just get cranky.
But this year, things are different. While the battle round remains, if a great singer loses their battle, the other coaches have the chance to steal them for their own team. And it’s exactly that knowledge that makes the battle between Team CeeLo’s Amanda and Trevin so delicious.
