The Presidential debates are derailing tonight a bit, but at least we have the return of SUPERNATURAL to look forward to!

Take a look at all your options…

The X Factor | 8pm on Fox
“Boot Camp #1”
Hopefuls who made it past the judges and audience of thousands during the live auditions travel to Miami, FL, for Boot Camp. During this phase of the competition, Simon Cowell, Britney Spears, Demi Lovato, and L.A. Reid will judge the contestants in a series of singing, dancing and overall performance challenges. Don’t miss the excitement of the next phase of auditions that will have everyone talking the next day.

Oh Sit! | 8pm on The CW
“Episode 110”
In this fun, high-stakes, high-octane musical chairs competition, 12 thrill-seeking daredevils race head-to-head through five physically demanding, chair-splitting obstacle course-style eliminations as they each compete to claim a chair – all to the sounds of a live band. At the end of the hour, only one contestant will be left sitting triumphant to seize the cash prize and the title of OH SIT! champion. The show is hosted by Jamie Kennedy (“The Ghost Whisperer”) and actress/television host Jessi Cruickshank (“MTV Live”). Adding to the fun, Tanika Ray (“Extra”) will be in the trenches with the contestants both on and off the track, and will add color commentary from the sidelines as the action unfolds. The musical guest is Kat Graham (“Heart Killer”).

The Middle | 8pm on ABC
“The Second Act”
When Frankie is suddenly fired from Ehlert Motors, she embarks on a quest not to repeat mistakes from the past by taking any crummy job that comes her way, deciding to go instead to tech school to secure a real career. Meanwhile, school has begun and Axl is starting his Senior year in high school, Sophomore Sue takes on the task of mentoring new freshman Jenna (Bailey Buntain, “Bunheads”), and Mike is upset with Brick when he can’t be bothered to put his book down to meet some of Mike’s friends after a softball game.

Animal Practice | 8pm on NBC
“Clean-Smelling Pirate”
When a young boy’s busy father leaves him at the hospital with their Parson Russell Terrier in kidney failure, George (Justin Kirk) must tap his softer side to help the boy deal with the situation. While Dorothy (JoAnna Garcia Swisher) tries to give the case to Doug (Tyler Labine), who is brilliant with kids, George insists that he is up for the challenge. Bobby Lee, Kym Whitley and Betsy Sodaro also star.

Guys With Kids | 8:30pm on NBC
“Marny Wants a Girl”
Marny (Tempestt Bledsoe) has always wanted a girl and insists on giving it a try but Gary (Anthony Anderson) isn’t too keen on the idea. Sheila (Erinn Hayes) organizes a child CPR class and signs everyone up. Nick (Zach Cregger) and Emily (Jamie-Lynn Sigler) reluctantly attend the class in hopes of proving they are good parents. Jesse Bradford also stars.

The Neighbors | 8:30pm on ABC
“Journey to the Center of the Mall”
After convincing the Bird-Kersees to let their kids try “human” school, the Weavers take them on their first excursion outside Hidden Hills – shopping for back-to-school clothes at the mall. They survived the trip to Earth, but will the mall be too much? Meanwhile, Debbie and Jackie have doubts about each other’s true intentions.

BEN AND KATE Creator Dana Fox Teases ‘Bad Cop/Bad Cop’

October 2, 2012 by
Filed under #1 featured, Ben and Kate

BEN AND KATE is brand new tonight, and now that Ben is staying in town, he has a few issues with how his sister has been handling things in his absence.

“Kate has been lying about where they live to get Maddie into a better school system,” BEN AND KATE creator Dana Fox told me. “She’s saying they’re living at Tommy’s parents place, but Kate is a terrible, terrible liar, so she’s avoiding school, afraid she’s going to blow her cover. And Ben comes into this situation like, ‘This is insane. You can’t keep doing this. We’re going to go back to school night and charm the pants off these people so we can control the response to the situation. It’s crisis management 101.’ And she’s going, ‘No! Don’t mess it up! Don’t talk to anybody, don’t get me in there, I’m a terrible liar.’ And of course he gets her into that and they have to deal with it.”

And while the situation allows for some ridiculously hilarious moments for the siblings, it does also allow viewers to get another flashback into their younger years.

BONES Recap: ‘The Gunk in the Garage’

October 2, 2012 by

Hey, BONES fans! How did you like this episode, “The Gunk in the Garage”? I’m no squint, but Brennan wearing that trenchcoat again leads me to believe this is one of our four bonus episodes of the season. I thought it was more filler than bonus, but I did like a lot about the ep, and there is a lot to talk about. But first, please tell me I’m not the only one who got a little nervous seeing Brennan and Hodgins alone together in the parking garage. Right? It’s a good thing the Gravedigger is dead…that’s all I’m saying!

The performance is choreographed by Shannon Mather, spotlighting Blake McGrath, Ian Eastwood and Tyne Stecklein leading their groups in an epic performance. We will also tease week 3’s “Iconic Dance Night” with a medley of iconic routines from seasons past, performed by The Troupe as well as talented dancers Anya Garnis, Jaymz Tuaileva, Lacey and Benji Schwimmer. And before night’s end, the second couple of the season will be eliminated.

Hart of Dixie | 8pm on The CW | Season Premiere
“I Fall to Pieces”
After George confesses his feelings to Zoe (Rachel Bilson), she finds herself having to make a tough decision between George (Scott Porter) and Wade (Wilson Bethel), leaving the two guys at odds on how to handle the situation. In search of some much needed girl advice, Zoe makes a new fast friend in former BlueBell resident Ruby Jeffries (guest star Golden Brooks), who no one is excited to see. Lemon (Jaime King) decides it’s time to get her own apartment and a job, but it’s tougher than she thought. Continuing to forge ahead with her new life, Lemon proceeds to return the wedding presents, but a sudden detour to Zoe’s while holding a cake knife creates a stir with the townspeople. Cress Williams and Tim Matheson also star.

Raising Hope | 8pm on Fox | Season Premiere
“Not Indecent, But Not Quite Decent Enough Proposal”

It’s no secret I absolutely adore BEN AND KATE, but I’m not alone in that love: with the pilot available online for weeks before its official Fox debut last week, series stars Echo Kellum (Tommy) and Lucy Punch (BJ) told me recently they heard a lot of positive feedback from friends.

I sat down to talk with Kellum and Punch about the show, what’s to come, and Punch pitches a fabulously wrong story idea…
