On the Set of FRINGE: John Noble Thanks the Fans

September 28, 2012 by

As we inch closer and closer to FRINGE’s final hours, the people involved with the show are remaining vocal about how this farewell season is only possible thanks to the fans.

On a conference call earlier this week, FRINGE showrunner J.H. Wyman told reporters he adored the fans and that “I think the only thing that did save the show were the reactions of the media and the fans that sort of could identify the heart in the program and the aspirational ideas in the program and they responded to that.”

And he’s not alone in that thought.

When FRINGE star John Noble (Walter) sat down with reporters on the set earlier this week, he ended the interview with a lovely message: “We simply wouldn’t be here without that fanbase.”

Take a look at Noble’s thank you to the fans…

FRINGE: Anna Torv on the ‘Huge Reboot,’ if She’s Still Okay with the Potential for Olivia to Die, and Fauxlivia

September 28, 2012 by

When FRINGE returns on Friday, the show will be firmly entrenched in the future (2036!) that was first introduced in season 4’s “Letters of Transit.” Of course, in that particular episode, Anna Torv’s Olivia was missing in action…but thanks to some quasi-spoilery photos, we do know she returns in the premiere.

Torv sat down with reporters on the set earlier today to talk about the show’s reboot, if she’s still okay with the (potential) threat to Olivia’s life, and if there’s the possibility for Fauxlivia to return…

The McKinley High New Directions have gone in all different directions in GLEE’s fourth season. While change can be good, it certainly comes with some growing pains. Two of GLEE’s most popular characters – Blaine Anderson and Rachel Berry – know all too well what it’s like to have their lives turned all topsy-turvy. Rachel is finally living the dream in NYC, but without Finn by her side. And now that Kurt has become roomies with Rachel, Blaine is on his own for the first time since his Dalton days.

GIVE ME MY REMOTE.com caught up with Darren Criss and Lea Michele at the GLEE Season Four premiere where the two talked about the changes their characters are undergoing this season, what life is like without their significant others by their side, and how life on the GLEE set feels different now that the cast is not together every day.

PERSON OF INTEREST’s David Slack Teases ‘The Contingency’

September 27, 2012 by
Filed under #1 featured, Person of Interest

Where’s Finch? Viewers of PERSON OF INTEREST have been wondering all summer where he went after Root kidnapped him, and co-executive producer David Slack teased that particular storyline “will not be easily resolved” when the show returns tonight.

“We like to take the show in surprising places,” Slack said. “[Executive producers] Greg [Plageman] and Jonah [Nolan] like to keep the audience guessing. Any opportunity to do series television that is out of the routine is fun. We also, if we’re going to do something like have Finch get kidnapped, it can’t be a flash in the pan. It should be real and come at a cost. It going to be something that there will be ramifications that ripple through the season.”

Yep, you read that right…this is going to play out for a long time.

FRINGE: J.H. Wyman Teases the Odysseys He Wants the Characters to Go On in the Final Season

September 26, 2012 by

After witnessing the Peter and Olivia reunion in FRINGE’s upcoming season premiere, it’s safe to say I had a few questions about the journey they’re going to take in the final season of the year. Thankfully, to promote this Friday’s season 5 launch, showrunner J.H. Wyman got on a conference call with reporters and I was able to inquire about what’s in store for Peter and Olivia.

I’ve said a lot that no love story worth telling is easy,” Wyman told me. “The hills and the valleys that make a relationship, in my opinion, really dynamic and worth watching. The harder hill, the more worth the payoff. I’m trying to — everything that came the four years before, I’m really trying to give the characters specific odysseys this year that are singular odysseys meaning for each character, but also relationship dynamic odysseys — things that are sort of growing and shifting and shaping. Peter and Olivia are going to be a very big part of that. Their relationship will shift and grow and evolve, but I think that we’ll be there for every step of the way. Everything will be sort of logical. One of the things that we get to do this year which I found great for telling real, authentic, emotional stories is that the 13 episodes, I’m treating them as a saga, as a 13-episode feature film, so we’ll be able to track their emotional growth pattern and their relationship very carefully. More in store is to really get underneath the hood and investigate those relationships.”
