If you’re COUGAR TOWN, how do you remind viewers that your show has not actually been canceled and in fact is just moving from ABC to TBS? Well, naturally, you make a music video.

(My goodness, I adore this show.)

COUGAR TOWN comes to TBS Tuesday, January 8th. How many times do you think you’ll watch that music video before then?

X FACTOR versus THE VOICE. Which singing competition series has your attention tonight at 8 PM?

Or perhaps you’ll be tuning into something else? Take a look at your other options…

The Voice | 8pm on NBC | Special Night
“Blind Auditions Premiere, Part 3”
Carson Daly (“Last Call with Carson Daly”) hosts week two of the vocal competition series, featuring an exciting array of talented vocalists as they compete to be selected by one of the coaches and fight for a chance at an opportunity to win the title of being named “The Voice.” Coaches Christina Aguilera, Adam Levine, Cee Lo Green and Blake Shelton continue building their teams. Christina Milian (“Be Cool”) serves as Social Media Correspondent.

The X Factor | 8pm on Fox | Season Premiere
“Auditions #1”
THE X FACTOR’s Simon Cowell and L.A. Reid are joined by new judges global pop icon Britney Spears and multi-talented artist Demi Lovato as they travel the nation searching for undiscovered talent 12 years old or over – both solo artists and vocal groups – who are worthy of the largest prize in television history: a $5 million recording contract with Syco/Sony Music.

Oh Sit! | 8pm on The CW
“Episode 107”
In this fun, high-stakes, high-octane musical chairs competition, 12 thrill-seeking daredevils race head-to-head through five physically demanding, chair-splitting obstacle course-style eliminations as they each compete to claim a chair – all to the sounds of a live band. At the end of the hour, only one contestant will be left sitting triumphant to seize the cash prize and the title of OH SIT! champion. The show is hosted by Jamie Kennedy (“The Ghost Whisperer”) and actress/television host Jessi Cruickshank (“MTV Live”). Adding to the fun, Tanika Ray (“Extra”) will be in the trenches with the contestants both on and off the track, and will add color commentary from the sidelines as the action unfolds. The musical guest is Stu Stone (“Breathe”).

Comments Off on SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE: Mary Murphy on the Format Changes, Which Contestant She Wishes Was Still a Finalist

It feels like the season just started, but we’re just one week away from naming the winners of SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE season 9.

Of course, the show has undergone a few shifts this season, which may have made the season zip by a little faster and normal — an Olympic-timed break in the season and cutting down to one episode a week (which dictated the need for a performance/results show hybrid).

With the end of the season approaching, I sat down with SYTYCD judge Mary Murphy to get her take on how she feels the new format has been going, if she’d like things to change back, and which contestant she wishes was in the finale…

GO ON’s Matthew Perry Talks Throwing out the First Pitch at the Dodgers Game, What’s to Come on His New Show

September 11, 2012 by
Filed under #1 featured, Go On

NBC has been putting a lot of effort into promoting their new comedy, GO ON, and last week, they had series star Matthew Perry throw out the first pitch at a Dodgers game. (Only appropriate, since Perry plays Ryan, a sports radio personality on the show.)

Though Perry lamented that his pitch attempt “could have been better” when we sat down a few hours later to talk all things GO ON, he admitted, “That is such a mental weird thing, throwing out the first pitch of the baseball game. It was very funny and exciting, but if you think about it for too long…”

On a lighter topic, Perry said he is pleased by the support NBC has shown for his new series.

BONES: ‘The Partners in the Divorce’ Photo Preview

While the season premiere of BONES deals with getting Brennan back home, I don’t think it’s super-spoilery to say that it’s fair to assume things are semi-back to normal by the time the second episode of the season airs. After all, what would the show be if there were extended periods of time with Booth and Brennan not investigating icky deaths?

And in case you needed further proof, just take a look at the hairstyle Brennan is rocking in “The Partners in the Divorce”…
