With all the fuss over NBC’s new comedy, THE NEW NORMAL (certain stations are refusing to air it, One Million Moms are calling for a boycott, etc.), wouldn’t it make sense to watch the pilot (which is about exploring all the different kinds of family dynamics) before getting upset so you can see what the show is actually about?
Lucky for you, NBC has released the full pilot for THE NEW NORMAL (a show I actually find charming) a few weeks before its official television debut, so check it out now…

Comments Off on SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE Sets Hosts and Musical Acts for First 3 Episodes
SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE is just a few short weeks from returning, and that means it’s time for the reveal of who the first batch of hosts/musical guests will be. Personally, I’m delighted they’re kicking off the season with FAMILY GUY creator Seth MacFarlane, who is not only wickedly hilarious (you saw TED this summer, yes?), but also has musical talent. (Though he’s not the official musical guest — Frank Ocean gets that honor.)
Take a look at who you can expect on your screen the first three weeks of SNL, courtesy of an NBC press release…

Oh Sit! | 8pm on The CW
“Episode 105”
In this fun, high-stakes, high-octane musical chairs competition, 12 thrill-seeking daredevils race head-to-head through five physically demanding, chair-splitting obstacle course-style eliminations as they each compete to claim a chair – all to the sounds of a live band. At the end of the hour, only one contestant will be left sitting triumphant to seize the cash prize and the title of OH SIT! champion. The show is hosted by Jamie Kennedy (“The Ghost Whisperer”) and actress/television host Jessi Cruickshank (“MTV Live”). Adding to the fun, Tanika Ray (“Extra”) will be in the trenches with the contestants both on and off the track, and will add color commentary from the sidelines as the action unfolds. The musical guest is Chiddy Bang (“Ray Charles”).

The pilot for THE MINDY PROJECT has been online for over 24 hours, so I’m assuming many of you have taken the time to view it, yes?
Since I’ve watched the pilot several times (and I’ll have more for you about what’s specifically to come closer to the show’s premiere), I was curious what the stars of the series wanted to say to viewers after the first episode was made available online nearly a month before its television debut.
Take a look at what Chris Messina (Danny Castellano) and Mindy Kaling (Mindy) wanted you to know, plus Kaling dishes on which pilot guest stars will be returning…

NEW GIRL: Jake Johnson Talks Nick/Jess and Season 2

When NEW GIRL ended last season, Nick — fresh off of panicking about moving in with his girlfriend — returned to the apartment to live with Jess, Schmidt, and Winston. So yes, when we pick up in season 2, some things are similar…but that could change when Nick gets a (possible) glimpse of what’s to come when someone claiming to be a version of Nick from the future gives him some intel. Hmm…
I talked with Jake Johnson (Nick) to see what he could tease about that visit from Future Nick, how he felt about all the NEW GIRL fan support, Nick/Jess, and more…
THE VOICE Exclusive Video: CeeLo Green on What He Looks for in a Contestant

While there has been a ton of buzz about the slight format change to THE VOICE this season, one thing remains — you still have to get either Christina Aguilera, CeeLo Green, Adam Levine and/or Blake Shelton to turn around during the Blind Audition phase if you want the chance to compete on the series.
But given how many talented artists come on that stage, what really inspires the coaches to press their buttons? In the exclusive video below, Green shares what attracts him to an artist (featuring a pretty awesome montage of the outrageous numbers his former contestants have done), gives an update on last season’s runner-up Juliet Simms, and more…

Pretty Little Liars | 8pm on ABC Family
“The Lady Killer”
With Garrett’s trial for Maya’s murder starting, the town of Rosewood has become a media spectacle. At odds with her friends over Paige, Emily doesn’t know where to turn when the media attention becomes too much for her. “A” sees this as a perfect opportunity and takes advantage of the situation and sends Aria, Emily, Hanna and Spencer on a path to a possible truce. But is “A’s’ peace offering real or just a trap for a much darker ending? Meanwhile, Aria, Emily, Hanna and Spencer are betrayed as someone very close to them is revealed as part of the “A” team.

Watch the BEN AND KATE Pilot Now!

One of my favorite things about this time of year is unexpectedly falling for a show you never thought you’d fall for. This season? That show is BEN AND KATE.
It’d be easy to dismiss a show about a quirky family, but there’s something special about these guys: they have heart, their antics are believable and I actually laughed out loud several times during the premiere episode. (Which is a pretty big rarity this season.)
But enough from me. I’m really hoping if you watch the full pilot (below), you’ll see why I love it so much…
What do you think? Are you charmed by Ben and Kate Fox, too?
BEN AND KATE debuts Tuesday, September 25th at 8:30 PM on Fox.

When RAISING HOPE returns for it third season, there are going to be a lot of new and very famous faces joining the show. Comments Off on GLEE Season 4 Premiere Photos: ‘The New Rachel’
When GLEE kicks off its fourth season on Thursday, September 13th, the show will be split in a way viewers haven’t experienced in the past — with one part set at McKinley High and the other following the recently-graduated seniors.
But what will that look like?
Fox has released the first photos from GLEE’s season premiere, “The New Rachel,” and from them we can tell there are some new faces gracing New Directions, Rachel sings, and Kate Hudson’s Cassandra looks rather sassy.
See for yourself…
