SUPERNATURAL: Jeremy Carver on his Return to the Series and What’s to Come in Season 8
July 17, 2012 by Marisa Roffman
Filed under #1 featured, Supernatural, Supernatural Spoilers
For new SUPERNATURAL showrunner Jeremy Carver, his return to the series (where he was a writer from 2007-10 before departing to develop Syfy’s BEING HUMAN) couldn’t have come at a better time.
“I’m really excited [about the new season],” Carver told reporters in the SUPERNATURAL press room at Comic-Con. “I think we’re telling story in a little bit of a different way this year, in that we’re incorporating a lot of flashbacks and filling in the pieces of what happened when these two were away from each other and why these two are very much united in terms of what they’re after this season.”
That’s not to say everything will be completely smooth sailing for the brothers.
Take a look at Carver’s take on their maturation, whether he’s arcing the series beyond season 8, his decision to return to SUPERNATURAL, and more…

Things are going to be a little different when GLEE returns this fall — not only have the seniors graduated, but they’re spread out throughout the country with Rachel in New York (along with Santana and Kurt), Finn in the army, Mike in Chicago, Mercedes in Los Angeles, and Quinn off to Yale. And since the show will still be following up with the McKinley alumni (as well as following the path of the current kids in New Directions), the focus of the series will be split in a way viewers have yet to experience.
“Now we actually have to find different ways to tell the story and it’s really exciting,” executive producer Brad Falchuk told reporters at GLEE’s Comic-Con press room.
Take a look at what Falchuk has to say about filling up the choir room slowly, potential breakups, those rumored guest stars, Rachel having to start over, Kurt being fine (eventually), and more…
