Take a look at Green reuniting with his former costar, Alyson Hannigan (Lily on HIMYM), and what he’ll be up to…

ARROW has had no shortage of amazing guest stars in its first season, but the upcoming guest star that has me most excited is former FRINGE star Seth Gabel, who will be playing The Count. (The character is modeled on the ARROW villain Count Vertigo.)

As luck would have it, I caught up with Gabel over the weekend at an event celebrating FRINGE’s 100th episode/series finale, and he praised his time on ARROW as “the most fun I’ve ever had.”

Take a look at what he had to tease about finally playing a villain, crafting this character, and more…

December may have just started, but already some series are getting in the holiday spirit.

Take a look at all your options for television tonight…

Arrow | 8pm on The CW
“Vendetta”
As Oliver (Stephen Amell) and Helena (guest star Jessica DeGouw) grow closer, Oliver trains her to be his ally, complete with showing her how to use a crossbow. Diggle (David Ramsey) disapproves of Oliver sharing his secret with Helena as he’s not sure she can be trusted, but Oliver refuses to listen to his concerns. Helena’s quest for revenge proves to be too strong for Oliver to handle after she kills the head of the Triad and all hell breaks loose.

The Middle | 8pm on ABC
“Christmas Help”
Christmas doesn’t seem so merry to Mike when he helps brother Rusty (Norm Macdonald) move some furniture into the Heck house garage and discovers that Rusty doesn’t actually own the items. Meanwhile, Frankie hatches a plan to take a part time holiday job in a department store in order to get an employee discount to buy presents; Axl turns the garage with the stolen furniture into his own bachelor pad; and Reverend TimTom makes a bold choice by casting Brick in a holiday play and tasks an overly zealous Sue with baking cookies for the event.

The X Factor | 8pm on Fox
“Top Finalists Perform”
The finalists perform live for their chance to win a $5 million recording contract with Syco/Sony Music. After the performances, it’s up to America to vote to keep their favorite acts safe in the competition. Tune in to see who will mark their spot on stage and who will fall flat.

Whitney | 8pm on NBC
“Sex, Lies, and Alibis”
After Alex (Chris D’Elia) reveals he “faked it,” Whitney (Whitney Cummings) decides they need to come clean about their past lies. Lily (Zoe Lister-Jones) reveals too much about Whitney’s former life to Alex. Meanwhile, Mark (Dan O’Brien) hires R.J., (Tone Bell), the new bartender at Low Bar, proving to be fresh meat for Roxanne (Rhea Seehorn) and Lily.

Guys with Kids | 8:30pm on NBC
“Christmas”
Emily and Nick think Marny and Gary’s marriage is in a rut; Sheila and Chris must decie who keeps the engagement ring after their divorce.

The Neighbors | 8:30pm on ABC
“Merry Crap-Mas”
The Weavers ask the Bird-Kersees to hide the multitude of Christmas gifts they’ve purchased for Amber, Max and Abby. But when Marty and Debbie are put off by their kids’ entitled attitude towards the holiday, they decide to return all the gifts and put the money toward a family vacation where they can focus on the true meaning of the holiday. There’s just one problem: Larry Bird has opened one of their gifts, spawning a frenzy of gift opening among the aliens and leaving the Weavers with no gifts and no way to pay for the trip. Can alien “Scrooge” Larry Bird save Christmas for the Weavers?

One of the most alarming problems (as of now) as we lead into FRINGE’s final six episodes is Peter and his rapidly deteriorating humanity. (This is why we should not be playing with Observer tech. So, you know, if you find yourself in that position in the future…)

When I was up in Vancouver for the Fox show’s 100th episode/finale event, I spoke with FRINGE star Joshua Jackson (Peter) about finally getting to indulge in his Observer-y side, and where that might take him for the end of the series…

Comments Off on Fox Picks Up New Animated Series MURDER POLICE

Fox has picked up 13 episodes of MURDER POLICE, a new animated series that follows a questionable police precinct. The series is expected to debut during the 2013-2014 season.

“[Series co-creators] David [A. Goodman] and Jason [Ruiz] came to us with a really fresh take on law enforcement that we’ve never seen before,” said Kevin Reilly, Chairman of Entertainment, Fox Broadcasting Company in a statement. “With MURDER POLICE, these guys are taking a staple genre of television – the cop show – and turning it on its head by pushing the warped comedic boundaries that only animation can offer. It’s the kind of show our Animation Domination fans will absolutely love, and I can’t wait to introduce it next season.”
