Could care less, HH, on twitter just said Sweets was not moving out until the fans were really annoyed. Way to go Hart, how much more childish can you get? Go ahead and destroy Sweets character for all time, remember Hannah?
@Barbara,
Just checked HH twitter timeline for the last 8 days. No mention of Sweets “not moving out” or moving out. Childish is being a troll.
@sueK Hart did make that childish crap stirring coment I just read it. I am sick to death of Sweets end of. I am sick of him living with Booth and Brennan, it serves no purpose, it doesn’t move any story forward, except to show Sweets as balless wonder who would rather sleep in a kiddy bed than stand on his own two feet. He is a grown man with a well paid job, and needs to grow up AND I am sick to death of Sweets doing Booth’s job Do the writers even remember they have a FBI Agent called Booth? Cos in the Cocoon ep Sweets was questioning more suspecs at the FBI than Booth was, Booth who had gone AWOL during the bulk of the episode, doing what? painting his nails? Cos he sure as hell wasn’t working as Sweets/JFD was doing the scenes that Booth/David has been doing for years. *Not just in this ep but every ep of Season 8* Booth is getting less and less scenes at the FBI because Sweets can do them all now because Hart Hanson has no clue what to do with Sweets or JFD, so he just takes and takes from Booth’s role on the show, ìnstead of putting Sweets back in his shrinks office where he belongs…..This isn’t the show I signed up for in in SEP 2005
SueK, check HH timeline at 13:22, he certainly did say that, he was smarting cuz the “bad” fans were pushing him back for last night’s episodes. He’s supposed to be the mature one, taking the kudos with the criticism.
Well, aren’t we the humorless ones today? HE WAS JOKING! Good God, I hope everyone takes their actual, real lives as seriously as they do this whole Sweets thing. Just…wow.
Seriously, though…those photos make me hope for a Jeffster reunion. Whooo hooo!!! Rock and roll! 🙂 (*sigh* I miss Chuck)
And PS. Nothing about this show is the same as it was in 2005.
I have no idea what Cocoon ep people were watching last night, but it wasn’t the same one I saw. The one I saw had plenty of Booth: Booth at home in the beginning, Booth at the crime scene, Booth and Sweets in Booth’s office, Booth and Sweets interviewing the widow and her brother, Booth and Brennan finding the bones in the storage room, Booth and Brennan in the SUV, Booth and Brennan at the killer’s house, another scene with Booth and Sweets in Booth’s office, Booth interrogating the brother (by himself, even), Booth and Brennan arresting the killer, the reenactment scene, and finally, the end scene with Brennan and Christine at home. (A scene Sweets isn’t in, despite peoples’ insistence that he’s with them every second of the day while living at their house.) Sweets has about half as many scenes as Booth does, and Brennan has only three more – reasonable, IMO, for an ep about an archaeological find. It’s fine not to like the show, and obviously, people who watch solely for Booth will never be happy if he’s not in every scene – meaning they’ll never be happy. (Ditto people who watch solely for Brennan.) But some of the anti-Sweets stuff is just silly.
Reminder that this is not a fan forum. Everyone has a right to their opinion and the right to express it.
@rynogeny This isn’t about watching the show for Booth or not. This is about wanting to see the male lead character actually doing his job and having a presence on the show. Yes he was in the scenes you stated, though counting scenes aren’t an indicator of character input as a scenes vary in lenght, this is about the male lead character having no input in the middle of the show for about 20mins, how are you suppose to connect with a character if you never see them for huge chunks of time? Many of S8 eps,bar the bonus eps and the dance ep, have been this way; Booth goes MIA for the middle of the ep. And this is mainly due Sweets doing Booth’s job questioning suspects. Fine Sweets should have scenes but it shouldn’t be at the expense of Booth’s role and presence on the show. Is it too much to ask for Booth to actually do his OWN job at the FBI? I guess it is. The writers are writing Booth as a watered down version of himself who can’t even be bothered to question suspects at the FBI without Sweets mainly doing it for him. Does anyone have spare dvds of Season one or two that we could send to Hart Hanson and Stephen Nathan as a reminder of the FBI Special Agent Booth who they actually give a crap about?
@E Thank you. Wouldn’t some people just love to stifle what gets said on articles comments and on twitter, as you said it’s not a fan forum…as the comment header says here “speak your mind”
@Barbara –
Why don’t you move on already? It’s been obvious you hate the show now, so why must you continue to try to ruin it for others? All you do is complain.
I have learned that 1) these pix don’t tell me much about the case; 2) sarcasm and reasonableness don’t translate well on the Internet; 3) people who don’t care obviously do.
Conflict is KEY to stories and frankly, to keeping a show going for what, 8 seasons? No. Bones is going to go for 9 seasons, possibly more. So sad that it’s not a successful show. How many shows these days go past 5 seasons? 6? 7? 8?
Maybe we should have a garage sale for the very unsuccessful folks at Bones; they just can’t keep that show on the air. . . oops! What am I saying? (Oh, and while I’m at it, I’m not the same person I was 8 years ago. . . thank goodness! It’s called growth.)
