ABC Pulls DON’T TRUST THE B—- FROM APARTMENT 23 From the Schedule

DON’T TRUST THE B—- FROM APARTMENT 23 has been pulled from the ABC schedule, sources confirm to Give Me My Remote. (The Hollywood Reporter was first to break the news.)
The good news? This means we’ll get double episodes of HAPPY ENDINGS. The bad is that the remaining eight episodes of APARTMENT 23’s season are unscheduled as of now.
James Van Der Beek (who played a fictionalized version of himself on the show) took to Twitter to let his feelings on the matter be heard.
“Sad to say ABC has pulled #Apt23 and will not be airing the 8 remaining episodes any time soon. Translation: we’ve basically been cancelled,” he said in the first of several tweets on on the matter. “I know most of you watched us on your own time & platform and that the competitive network scheduling game is irrelevant to you..But network TV is a business dictated by Nielson ratings. And while that’s an antiquated business model, it’s the only one they’ve got. Thanks to all who tuned in. We had a blast making it. Can’t imagine a more fun work environment with better people. But onto the next… And please, no bashing ABC. While I’m sure no one there would say they think they nailed it when it came to programming #Apt23 this year… You’ve got to give ABC props for ever picking us up in the first place. They took a shot at something original & edgy. I respect them for it.”

This seems like a really odd time to cancel a returning show. I would understand if this was the first season of Don’t Trust the B’s, but it’s not. I hope that the last half of the season might air at some point, but my coworker at DISH doesn’t think it will happen. I have been recording Don’t Trust the B to my DISH Hopper so I could watch the new episodes on my schedule; now I’ll have the whole series to watch whenever I want a good laugh. I can record over 400 hours of content in HD to my DISH Hopper, so I have plenty of space for my family’s favorite shows, without constantly having to delete older content.
